Hi my name is Samantha, I am currently a CST (certified surgical technologist) at CHOA, and I am considering applying to the ADN program for fall 2020! I actually completed the Surgical Tech program at Chatt Tech, and since then have been working at CHOA, I love my job there and love being a surgical tech, but really want to advance my career in the medical field by becoming an RN! I took my teas a few years ago before the surg tech program and got a 70 which is the minimum score and have a 3.46 GPA after the program. I would love to discuss with anyone thoughts about the program and any advise, about program admission, working while in the program, and tips and tricks for a higher score on the teas and CT exam!

I applied to Chatt Tech and GHC. If those don't work (I think they will), I'll look at Dalton or the ABSN at Kennesaw State.
There are still a couple of more sessions if you change your mind. It definitely looks very competitive though, so inactivity here is not representative of the # of applicants.
Sheesh Rome is a little far from me. I did my CNA in high school but that was 11 years ago, not current so I guess that’s a no LOL.
tbh I guess it’s just nerves and getting a late start in nursing. I was pre-Med and decided at the last minute I didn’t want to go to Med school anymore and that was about 5 years ago. The good thing is having all of the science classes done but the retaking of classes sucks. As for the TEAS, I literally scheduled my test and went and took It workout studying just to see what would happen got a 73 ? I guess I’ll study this time.

Well, I went to school a LONG time ago, so some of the classes aren't where I would want, especially since they're the EASY ones.
A's in the sciences, Psych, Soc,*** B's in humanities and math (higher level than college alg). TEAS - 84.7
had AP English, so not sure how that transfers.
I figured you were either my age or older by the way you spoke LOL. I’ll be 29 next month ? sometimes I believe I made the wrong choice about Med school. I wanted to be an OBGYB but decided on Midwifery instead.
Your scores are really good. I feel as though we would have a great chance of beating out the competition. I hear there’s no way to study for the CRIT test and you need above a 70. So that’s what’s got me like ???

I think critical thinking is by invite once you've met the other qualifications. Is that your overall GPA, or the Pre-req GPA?
hello ladies, I'm also planning to attend the ADN program at Chattahoochee tech for fall 2020. They are now only taking points for A&P 1 and lab, sociology, psychology, and humanities. I would have two A's and 3 B's. I don't have a backup idea I am putting all my eggs in one basket. I pray we ll get in.

Where has this been communicated? I talked to an adviser last week via email, and no changes were mentioned. Are you saying that even if you are done with micro and A&P 2, that won't be taken into consideration? TEAS??
And don't assume everyone is a "lady" ?
