At the end of the program the whole class takes the test. The hours also depend on where you work I for an example work at a surgery center so I work Monday-Friday 6:45-3:30 sometimes til 5, so my shift is 8hrs sometimes 10 if you are on the late schedule. Hospitals sometimes have longer shifts like 3 12hrs or 4 10hrs and nights. And no problem I wish I had someone to talk to before applying i know it would’ve been really helpful!

I actually completed the Surgical Tech program at Chatt Tech, and since then have been working at CHOA, I love my job there and love being a surgical tech, but really want to advance my career in the medical field by becoming an RN! I took my TEAS a few years ago before the surg tech program and got a 70 which is the minimum score and have a 3.46 GPA after the program. I would love to discuss with anyone thoughts about the program and any advise, about program admission, working while in the program, and tips and tricks for a higher score on the TEAS and CT exam!
I'm applying. Just took the TEAS today.
Have you completed all of the pre-reqs? Also, you may want to retake the TEAS to bump that score up some. Remember that is the minimum acceptable score. Most schools would make you retake, but I don't think there is an expiration at CTC. The nursing pre-req grades will weigh in, as well: A&P 1&2, Microbiology, Psychology, etc...

From what I've seen on some older posts, it looks like a lot more people start posting after the application deadline. We'll see.
Good Luck!
