Hello Everyone!
I know I'm early but I'm super excited to begin nursing school. I was wondering if anyone else here is planning to apply to Charity for Fall 2012? Are you done with your prereqs? Taken the HESI? What's your profile score?
I have taken all of my prereqs but it has been 6 years since I took A&P II lecture/lab so I'm taking it now at Delgado. I'm taking the lecture online and I go on campus for the lab. We have only done one exercise in lab so far and I already feel like its not going to be very easy. I took the HESI on Monday and I did pretty well so I'm done with that thank God!
I calculated my profile score and if I get an A in the A&P lecture I'll have 70 points. If I get a B or C, I'll have 65 points. I'm super nervous because when I talked to the admissions lady at Charity she told me the cut off tends to be a bit higher for the Fall semester than the Spring. From reading the forum, it looks like the cut off for Spring 2012 was around a 55 so I'm worried that the cut off for Fall will be like 75!
Good luck to everyone and I hope to meet some of my future classmates!
Well, when I got home today at about 4pm my husband checked the mail and I saw his face and the packet... I got soooo excited that I started screaming outside, it was so embarrassing but I didn't care hahaha! The letter started with a "congratulations!" I've been conditionally accepted! I'm so happy bc it's my first time applying and really, it could have been worse - rejected. So, now I'm just praying to have a space open for the fall class but if not I'm already deferred accepted for spring 2013!!!! The letters just talk about going to advising sessions and meetings by setting up appointments with my advisor. It didn't say anything about cut-off but my profile score was a 65 not counting the last 2 pre-reqs I'm taking this semester. CSN gpa of 3.08 and cum. gpa of 3.25 and Hesi of 80. I think that for being my first time ever applying - it's pretty good!!!!

I live in Slidell, but I don't know for how long. We are probably going to move in w my parents and I'll be doing some commuting, but it will be necessary so that my mom/dad/husband can be more available for the kiddos (and since I won't be working). (My mom lives past Hammond) So excited, though, about our new adventure!
