Charity SON Fall 2012
I'm interested in attending a meet and greet also. How many people are able to come? I haven't been on in a while. I had micro this summer (5 chapters a week) and I have been swamped.

Charity SON Fall 2012
I feel so bad! I was one of the few who stood in line and actually got resolution to the "issue" they had listed as a problem for the hold. Most people were upset, and left upset, with their issue still unresolved. Most people were having issues w tb tests or w not having initials in a spot (even though there were signatures). What really frustrated people was the fact that they could get the initials done and get the paperwork back on the same day, but the lift would not be taken off until the 13 th. The second line that I stood in was to register, and most people there seemed to be in the higher levels. They were saying that no one could reg online. They said the system was shutting down and that's why they came in person. I feel terrible- like survivor's guilt almost. It really is in no way fair. People in line were coming up w all kinds of theories- like, maybe they just couldn't handle so many at a tine in the new system, so they just cut it off at some point. I don't know. Bit I do agree w phi- u will all be in a great group. We are the too 25% of who applied. We are the people who can kick a** even in the "reject class"! Lol. I'm praying for us all to have a great kick off to the year. Has anyone started reading the suggested "fundamentals success" book? I have and it's extremely frustrating. It's about the critical thinking questions, which is very helpful, BUT they don't teach u first. So u basically have to go research each part, then come back and answer questions. I wish it had a companion book!

All I can do is laugh instead of crying. Guess what? I have a hold. Same reason. Health forms. I've spoken to this lady over the phone and she looked through my forms as I was on the phone w her. Supposedly everything was done. I'd love to know what they say Is not done.

Mamisu, I'll be attending the general advising today, 4/12 as well, and I will meet with my advisor after. I'm hoping to get a lot of info and that I have enough leave at my current job to take off and get it all done. I've started w the shots, but the fingerprint/background thing will be another begging session. Well- maybe it's time to quit! LOL

Guys going to CSN- I talked to someone this weekend who attends CSN. She said we are getting an entire new curriculum, which is intended to be more hands on and wholistic. It's supposed to incorporate all aspects together (like pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health, etc.). but the level of what we would do would increase each week(?)/ Should be an interesting adventure!!

Charity SON Fall 2012 Classmates
I am so nervous about quitting my job, too. I've been there over 7 years now, and the job itself changed in January to something that I'm really not enjoying. - so you'd think I'd be ok w it. Change is rough. Also- this weekend I was at a birthday party and happend to meet someone in her 3rd semester at CSN. She was giving me some of the ins and outs stuff and was saying that our group is going to be the "guinea pig" group for the new curriculum. From what she understood of it, everything would kinda be combined together; for example, mental health would not have its own "semester", it would be incorporated along w everything else. The level of what we would do would increase, from what she was saying. I am not positive on it, but for sure- there is a new curriculum and we are the lucky test group! LOL So- I wanted adventure- I'm getting it. We're like the army! We'll be ready for anything!!

Was great to meet Rmed and Phi. We are all going to have a blast. We got to talk about a lot of stuff. And none of us turned out to be serial killers! Ha!! Anyway - One thing that was brought up was this video which I think is extremely encouraging. Day 15 - Failing Nursing School - YouTube

Charity school of Nursing 2012 fall class jitters/ need advice
Yes, I'll still be going to Chilis tonight at 6:30, if u still would like to also. If you would prefer a different day, or to just wait, I completely understand. I know it's hard for everyones schedules to match up. I'm still willing to go to Chilis even if just one of my classmates is able to make it. I'm so excited and I feel like I need to talk to someone else on the same boat! Lol.
