Charity School of Nursing 2011

hi im new to this site and im majorly worried about getting into my nursing program at charity school of nursing for the fall 2011 class. I been denied two previous times and this is my 3rd attempt at getting in. My gpa is a 3.0 and I scored a 78 on my teas. I know my scores arent that great but they are better then when i applied my first and second time. I was wondering if it matters any to be denied the 1st and 2nd try. Would i have a better chance if i kept on trying? or does it start fresh every semister youre applying? my profile score is at 50 right now. Can anyone tell me what to expect and also anyone that has been denied before tell me what they did different and also what their scores were?

Hey thanks Su9032. I called today and they said I got accepted!!! Any tips on studying, the professors, difficulty of classes. I'm so excited and nervous all at the same time!!!

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and just have a few general questions. I am applying to CSN for Fall '12, I'm wondering if anyone has any idea about an average profile score. I have a 75 and a 91 on my HESI. I'd like an honest opinion of my chances of getting in.

Is 75 your profile score? If so, I'd say your chances are pretty darn good! If for some reason you aren't accepted, CALL and ask about it to make certain that everything was correctly tabulated! Sometimes mistakes are made and aren't caught until someone questions it.

On another note, at the last Open House at Charity I learned that there is a misconception that Charity has a 2 year waiting list. NOT SO! There is NO waiting list.

Thank you for responding. Yes, my profile score is a 75. I'm nervous as heck and was wondering what is the highest average profile score they've had for the admitting process. My cumulative GPA is not where I'd like it to be, but my CSN GPA and HESI scores are pretty good. I hope the cum gap doesn't hurt me...

I don't think you should worry about the average. Your problem will be the lowest point cut-off and you are most likely well above that. Unless something has changed since November, if you don't have any GPA problems that preclude you from attending (e.g. failing grades in required courses), you should be in great shape. Overall profile score is what counts once you have taken care of the pre-reqs.

I don't have any failing grades or W's in any pre-reqs. I've done well in req courses, just nervous.

Nope. Usually people are concerned about what is the cutoff score for acceptance. :)
