Hello everyone, I know the application date is not till August but I am already nervous and stressed about getting accepted to CSN for spring 2017. Anyone else applying this August?

You are not bothering me at all!!! Any of these classes (see link) that you have completed will count towards the CSN curriculum GPA. Registered Nursing (RN) Program - Delgado Community College

Specializes in NICU, Trauma, Oncology.
I am also applying to CSN for the spring.. So much anxiety! I am taking my first Hesi A2 test on June 14th.. I've been studying like crazy.. For the evaluation sheet... The withdrawls section.. I withdrew once but it wasn't a requirement for the Nursing GPA, does it still count against me?

That depends. If it can be counted as an elective they can still hold it against you

Damn, I would have had a 3.5 with just the general education requirements. I got a C in both the lectures of AP1&2. Which bought it down to a 2.96... So I'm taking a Spanish 101, for a fine arts to bring it to 3.0. There's a 10 point difference! I had a B in music appreciation.

Does anyone know how they accept your humanities? I have more than one, and hoping they take the one with the higher grade cause it will bring my gpa up, but wasn't sure how they decide which one they will count.

Many degrees before require a lot of humanities. I'm 99% sure picking the highest grade will be no issue l. As long as it's not a repeat or anything.

I am nervous too! I want to apply in August but might wait til I finish all my pre reqs including micro and AP2 and Complete my other associates degree first. It is so stressful to decide

Are you doing classes over the summer? and how much longer do you have to complete your associate degree because it may be just be better to get started ASAP. if you Miss this deadline, you will need to reapply for Fall 2017 admission and have to wait another year just to begin. But do whatever feels right for you and only take what you can handle

That's what I am doing too. I am applying in August because I have the minimum required prerequisites and I will continue taking classes this fall. The humanities and English II I feel would also be easy to take during summer months once you're already in the nursing program. That's my 2 cents at least lol. I don't want to have to wait a whole year!

I am finishing up A&p 1. This summer w lab. So I am registered for a&p2 and micro in August. As well as the last 2 classes to finish my psych transfer degree. So that would put me applying in Jan for next August. I am just worried my score won't be high enough I think I would be at65-70 with the hesi

Oh cool! I am taking A&P 1 over the summer as well. and okay, I heard the HESI was not that bad, you should give yourself more credit and buy a review book and begin studying. I still need to sign up for it.

I am in a somewhat similar situation as you. I am 2 classes away from my transfer degree with a concentration in Biological Sciences. But I think I will take them over the summer and graduate with 2 degrees vs waiting till I finish.

I was going to finish over the summer and was approved for the extra hours, but I also want to focus on a&p 1 so I can get a good grade, I have 4 kids and a full time night job so i never know the situation each day will hold. I have the elsiver book, have been studying took it once got an 80. Want to retake it to get higher if possible.

I think you will do well!

I wish you luck
