Hello everyone, I know the application date is not till August but I am already nervous and stressed about getting accepted to CSN for spring 2017. Anyone else applying this August?

Good Morning y'all! I too am nervously waiting to hear about admittance for Spring 2017. I found this board last week and it's be quite helpfully, thank you for that. a couple things i'm personally concerned about are the facts that I'm 37 and male. I hope those things don't work against me. Until last fall I had worked as a Hotel Chief Engineer in the CBD for the last 12 years, however I began taking classes in 2013 to get into the Radiology program. This past February I decided to expand my ambitions to nursing. Because of the demands of my full time job I've only been able to take a few classes a semester leading up to this, yet because of my confusion on what i needed as far as pre-reqs I've completed most of the non-nursing classes, included all 4 APs, only repeating AP 1 twice when I improved a D to an A. That 1st AP class was my 1st time in a classroom in about 14 years, so it took some adjusting. Anyway here are my "stats":

Cum GPA 3.703

CSN GPA 3.3

Withdrawals 2 (back in 13 & 14 and didn't know that would hurt me)

HESI 81 (I didn't study at all I just wanted to take it and see how it was with the intentions of taking it again before applying. I took it on 8.2.16. I did very well on all the sections but Biology. I got a 64. I took that class way back in 2013, so i was a bit rusty. Anyway my wife and RN Aunt in FL convinced me to apply with that score.)

Profile Score 55 (That 1st "D" in '13 and two "W"s cost me 20 total points.smh)

I'm currently taking Microbiology this semester.

The 2nd Math aand Fine Art are the only CSN classes I have yet to take.

I got an 84 on my 1st Micro test, class average was a 73.

oh, and I didn't attend the Open House until a few months ago. I didn't know it was even an option till then but it was extremely informative. I wish I had gone years ago.
