Charity school of nursing spring 2017?

Hello everyone, I know the application date is not till August but I am already nervous and stressed about getting accepted to CSN for spring 2017. Anyone else applying this August?

They had some of the forms there but the application has to be typed!

Hi guys! I also applied to Charity for the Spring 2017 term. I mailed in my application a few days ago...now the nerves will stick around for a few months. I never got to meet with an advisor but when I calculated my profile score I'm either sitting at an 80-85. I graduated from Southern Miss in Dec. 2015 and took Microbiology while I was there but it was Micro for nursing majors (not science majors) and when I sent my transcript over to Delgado it showed an "XXX" by that micro class on my transcript. So I'm assuming it couldn't transfer over; without it I'll just be short that class from having all my prereqs done! I took the HESI and scored an 84...not the best but it seemed to boost me up on my profile score compared to my first HESI score! Hopefully it all goes well for everyone and I'm excited for October to come around! I also tried to join the Facebook group!

The XXX doesn't necessarily mean that it can't be transferred. Any courses that won't articulate like that have to be dean reviewed by their respective deans, that is also why CSN asks for the course descriptions so they can have transfer credit reviewed for equivalency. Maybe it will articulate if you went ahead and provided that description when they send the course descriptions to the department deans! Once it has been dean reviewed you would know if you will need to retake the micro or not. But unless delgado has already reviewed that class from that school on that catalog year for another student they will not know the equivalent or if there is one.

Hello, can anyone tell me if I dropped off my app already, will I be able to resubmit new HESI scores? I want to retake the HESI tomorrow but not if they won't take my new scores

Hi I'm new to this thread but I've also applied to CSN for Spring 17. My profile score is at a 65 and I am very nervous I'm finished with all my prerequisites so now it's the waiting game but anywho I wish you all as well as myself the best of luck!

Kinda regret not retaking the Hesi to potentially get 5-10 extra points on my profile score. Getting nervous just thinking about it!!!

Hey _shineDee! Good luck to you as well. I'm at a 70 and nervous as well! I am also wishing I would have retaken the HESI but it's done now and so we wait! I've heard 65+ is usually good enough to get in! Hoping for great news for all of us in about 5 weeks! Also, we have a FB page if you are interested in joining.
