Hi everyone! My name is Liz & I got my acceptance email last Friday night and I'm hoping to find anyone else accepted to Charity for the January 2019 class! Congrats to anyone who has and best of luck to those still waiting!

For a MAJOR COMEBACK!!! Your welcome

Just thought I'd update you since you wished me well, decided to go another route, shortly after being denied for RN, I quickly applied for the LPN program for Spr 17 before the cut off (2 days after finding out...AGGHH!!) and got in with ease:) , so I will be starting in Jan., and will transition to RN in 14 months....always a Silver Lining!!...Thanks for the encouragement.

I applied to SON Aug. 2016 for the Jan. semester 2017. I was denied due to a 23-year-old transcript. I started college a long time ago and then life hits. Marriage, kids, etc. This is for all the future students that have transferred to Delgado. The SON admissions will use every transcript to compile your overall GPA. I thought I had 70 points based on the nursing advisors. Apparently, they did not know they use the old transcripts as well. I was brought down to a 60 and was denied admission to the school. I have recently taken the HESI again and got a 90.33 to give me the 10 points back I lost for the old transcript. I made an 83.33 on my last HESI test. I am going to re-apply this January. If you have not finished all your prerequisites you may want to think about doing so. This year the cutoff was 65. Every point counts when trying to get in this program. Make sure you figure your score correctly yourself. If you have a good GPA, A&P 1, Eng. 1, and a good HESI score 85 or higher you should be able to get in. Good luck to everyone in your future careers.

Hello, I am a prospective student looking to apply January 2017 for the Fall 2017 semester. I have just quickly decided to choose Charity after being at UNO and having my heart set on LSU. Spring 2017 I will be finishing up my pre-requisites for Charity (Let me tell you, you need half of what you need for LSU). I still not have taken the HESI so I am not sure if I can hurry and take it before the January 2017 deadline but I definitely do NOT want to wait another semester. I am stuck signing up for the HESI and would love some help from other applicants! Thank you!

Applications for the fall term are accepted Jan. 15-31. So you have a few weeks to take the HESI. I'm not sure what kind of help you're seeking. If you could be more specific I'll try and help. Best of luck to you.

I have received a department ID and was told that I would receive an email when I was allowed to register for the HESi but I have not gotten anything. How long does this normally take? It has been about a week. Thank you so much

I'm not sure about that. I don't remember getting a department ID and then waiting for an email. I simply checked out the available dates and then called to schedule. This link will give you a list of available dates: HESI-A2 Schedule - Delgado Community College The page also includes a link to register online, but I called to schedule my test and then went to the campus to pay and get my login information.

Looks like the earliest HESI is scheduled Jan. 13th on the Westbank campus and the latest date is Jan. 30 at the main campus. Don't worry if the testing fills up. When I registered they were adding more testing times because all the others were full. Also, you don't have to go through Delgado to take your HESI. I believe Parsons and maybe a few other places also offer it. Just make sure you take the correct HESI. And when in doubt call the numbers provided in the link. Campus may be closed until after the holidays, so just keep that in mind. But if I were you, I'd plan on taking the HESI in Jan. and get your application together. Good luck.

Hello Guys!!

I'll be applying to CSN in January to start in the Fall of 2017.

I have a question. On the profile sheet it asks how many classes have you withdrawn from in the last 5 years. If I'm applying for the fall semester of 2017, does that mean that anything from the fall 2012 semester on back doesnt count? I'm trying to see because I withdrew from 2 classes in the Spring of 2012. Depending on the answer will be the difference of 10 points which is going to kill my profile score.
