Charity School of Nursing for Spring 2016

Published

Hi friends,

I am applying for the Charity School of Nursing in August to begin Spring 2016.

I had a question though--do I need to take all my pre-requisite courses at Delgado or can I take them elsewhere?

Thanks in advance,

Brynne

Does anyone happen to know how many students they accept in one semester?

I think they said about 160 but that includes transition students

Hi all!

I have a question about one of the requirements. I'm looking at the assessment form trying to calculate my profile score. One of the categories is CSN Nursing Curriculum GPA. Are the courses they're referring to English Comp, A&P I & II, General Psych, Microbiology, etc? Or are they something different like pharmacology, etc?

Thanks!

All of the classes that are listed on the curriculum assessment page are part of the csn classes

I'm almost positive I read they only go 5 years back. The advisor is really great, and amazingly helpful.

Hi, i am applying to CSN for spring 2016 as well, i am so nervous, but i didnt do too good on Hesi i only made a 76, but i still turned in my application , i think my profile score is only a 60-65, i hope i make it, i messed up in the beginning with A&P, however i am done with all of my pre req's, there is nothing else for me to take, im really nervous, if i dont get in , i understand,

Are you taking any classes this semester? Do you plan on taking the HESI again? If your gpa goes up enough or you score another 5-10 points on the HESI it will make your profile score higher for the next application period if you don't get accepted this time. I've heard of people with 60-65 being admitted but it all depends on the application pool. Its not only Delgado students that apply to the program. Hopefully you will get in and start in the spring but if not you need to use this time wisely and get your profile score as high as you can before January comes around. Good luck!

Hey guys. I started at Charity yesterday. I got in with a profile score of 60 or 65 and the cutoff is typically higher in the fall than in the spring. I got an 80

on the HESI when I took it. I remember how nerve wrecking the waiting process was. Most of you sound like y'all will be just fine though! Good luck to you all! (:

Btw y'all, by the time end of September/ early October rolls around and you're looking for that envelope everyday, the acceptance letters DO NOT come in big envelopes! They come in regular ones. We were told that they come in big ones, so we were freaking out before we even opened it.

Thank you so much for posting this. After reading everyone else's profile score, I started to feel discouraged. But we have the same profile score & I have an 82 on the HESI from my first try. Congrats on getting in! I wish the best for you!

Crazy. Mine was in a big envelope! I started spring 2015.

I guess that's why we were told that they're in big envelopes! Lol. Yeah they must have changed it because they were all sent out in the same size envelope.

Just FYI Facebook informed that today 1 year ago I received my acceptance letter! Happy stalking :)
