Charity School of Nursing for Spring 2016

Hi friends,

I am applying for the Charity School of Nursing in August to begin Spring 2016.

I had a question though--do I need to take all my pre-requisite courses at Delgado or can I take them elsewhere?

You can take them anywhere. If you look on the DCC website there is a list of transferable courses. I didn't take any courses at DCC prior to being accepted to Charity

I have another question--do I need to have my Anatomy and Physiology class completed before applying? For example, if I take A&P Fall 2015 I won't have a grade in August (when the apps are due). Help?!

AP1 has to be finished but not AP2

Will i be accepted if i have a B or C or a&p 1 lecture and lab?

I am also applying for charity school of nursing in August to try and get in for Spring 2016.

This semester will be my last semester of pre-reqs and I have completed ALL required pre-reqs at Delgado. My original plan was to apply for Nursing school last Jan. to get accepted into the August class however that did not work out.

I went and spoke to a nursing adviser and she informed me that I should wait until August to apply until I am finished taking ALL of my pre-reqs including A&P I and II and microbiology, she told me that I would have a better chance getting in that way.

I also already took my hesi and made an 84 and she advised me to take it again and try and get a 90 or above.

I am finishing up ALL of my pre-reqs now this semester and am scheduled to take the hesi again in JULY.

Hi everyone. I am also hoping to be accepted to Charity for the spring of 2016. I have completed my pre reqs, have a 2.7 ( my transfer gpa was a 2.0), got a 92 on my Hesi, and have started on my application packet. I'm so ready for August already! I've talked to CSN and the advisor isn't doing any advising until the middle of the summer but she really is the best person to ask questions to. Good luck to us all!

Hi @NattieWattie, I am also planning on applying to Delgado's nursing program in August and scheduled to take the Hesi this summer. Do you have any key pointers on studying for the HESI?

@prettywilson I got the evolve 3rd edition Hesi review guide. Did the practice tests multiple times and read the info. Also there is an app (I have an iPhone). Just go to the App Store and type in Hesi a2. It has a purple icon. The full app is $10 and is totally worth it. The app has over 1000 different questions. Just keep practicing over and over and over again.

Hi you guys!

I am also applying for Spring 2016. I took AP 1 and Lab in the Spring and I'm taking AP2 and Micro in the Summer. It's going to be a crazy semester!! lol I plan to take the HESI mid June.

I'm applying as well for Spring 2016. I applied before and was denied. I am finished all my prerequisites and will be taking the HESI again this summer to score higher. Any study suggestions on HESI?

Hey again! I am getting ready for my application and I was wondering--people that have been accepted what was your profile score? I think I'm going to have a 75 or 80. Will this get me in?
