Is there anyone else applying to Charity SON for Fall of 2015 (RN)? LOL, everything is so quiet. I thought I'd go ahead and start a thread so we can give help and support. Good luck, everyone!

That's funny I received someone else's letter as well.

Hello:

Anyone from Marrero will go to April 6 information session?

Cannot wait to meet all of you!

I'm jealous! I haven't received a letter yet. I had to call today and they are resending " another set of letters" (a set? What does that mean?). So, if you got a letter for someone else and it has a name spelled like mine on it, let me know! I'd say LOL but I was crying earlier because I haven't heard anything. I'm not sure what my profile score is anymore because I just found out my terrible USM transcript was included because UNO doesn't have the academic bankruptcy I filed in 2000 listed on my transcript. :/ I think I'm at a 60 with 91 on the HESI. If I don't get in for the summer or fall transition program, I'll be taking the extra requirements for BSN/CNS that I'll need because after this semester,I'll be finished with CSN prerequisites. Either way, I'm not done yet.

Congrats to those that have made it!

Congratulations to ALL who got in. I didn't get in. I'm an LPN, completed all prerequisites, I have an associate degree, a 3.3 for Delgado, 3.1 for CSN and greater than 2.5 for cumulative GPA and was scored 55 on the profile for having W grades for classes I was taking to get a bachelors degree in social work. Classes not used for nursing! However, I give up on charity!!!!! So frustrated, and disappointed! I'm not applying again!

Hello @ Justtracie

you have to submit ALL transcripts when applying to charity whether filing bankruptcy or not! They include everything! They used history courses I was taking to obtain a bachelors degree in social work. I scored low on HESI but I passed. The new admissions coordinator gave me a 0 for 3 W's. I don't have any drops/ D's/or F's. Nor does the bulletin states anything about having W grades. So not fair!!!!! Good luck

Hi, everyone. I'm a new student at Charity in Fall 2015. It took all of us a lot of efforts to get into Charity. Congratulate to all of you who got accepted for Fall 2015^^Did anyone meet with your own advisor yet? After meeting with my advisor, I'm so worry and nervous if I'm gonna to do well in clinical. We can ONLY register on June 15th at 10am. And we also have to buy books, uniform and a lot of stuffs... Money again:( I heard the eBook is around at least $400, and it's not working well in Mac:(

Specializes in NICU, Trauma, Oncology.

Ebooks are $738. And optional for your semester. I don't recommend them at all. Try to find used copies online. Also the library has multiple copies of each you can use in the library. For fueaf semester you will need fundamentals (potter and perry), pharmacology (kee) concepts for nursing (giddens) you can prob get away without concepts since most of the info is the same in the funds book.

My advisor told me we need the online book because it has the code in order to access tests and quizzes. So we really don't need the online book at all?

Hi, does anyone know how we can buy a parking ticket in LSU garage? How much does it cost? Can we park anywhere else?

Can someone help me with a csn Gia question? I want to retake 3 courses this summer in which I had previously gotten a C in each of them. One if them is a lab so it's only 1 hour credit. Say I take all 3 and get an A in each one... Will that lab really be worth much when it comes to my can GPA? I'm thinking about only doing the other 2 courses if not. I don't want to have too much on my shoulders if that lab won't help much.

@Tashat04 you should recalculate your GPA with those A's included and see how much of a difference it really is. The lab is not going to help too much but depending on your GPA, it may be the difference for some extra points on your profile score.
