Hey, just wanted to create this forum for people that are going to apply to Charity for Fall 2019. That's when I feel I will be ready to apply! I'm still working on my prereqs!

Did anyone, who applied from another school, get an email about their transfer credits being accepted? I received the email last night. Last semester when I applied, I never received this sort of email. I am hoping that it is a sign.

My hesi was an 84.67 and profile is 60. When I turned in my application, I spoke to miss thorton, told me that I should be good at 60. So ??

Good luck y'all.

Seems like a good sign to me! ?

Good luck to you too!

I was worried with my 60 bc my art didn't transfer, so I'm taking music now. So I won't get all the points of having all my classes completed. I thought it would still count like summer did, but bc she will have already made a decision, she said grades wouldn't be in soon enough.

Good luck. I hate waiting.

How’s everyone holding up? About one more month ?

Anxious, nervous, feeling impatient.. but also appreciating the down-time now with only 4 “regular” classes, before (hopefully) the REAL tough stuff will come with the Nutsing courses.

Yeah, I’m not taking any classes this semester. I’m enjoying the down time but so ready to finish school.

I’m really bummed about them switching the entrance exam and the only time to take it is March. I hope we find out with enough time to take the test if we need too. I just don’t want to spend $70 on this test and not need to take it. I know we are going to have to spend money on stuff when we get accepted.

I guess I’ll continue to “patiently” wait. I’m just excited that next weekend is March ?

Yea, we're definitely going to need money for the nursing program. Just the books alone are over $1,000, not to mention all the other things.

Don't forget about the Nursing Advising Sessions coming up, they will be answering questions on the first semester of nursing school & what to expect. There is one next week at the City Park campus.

I'm not sure if we will find out in time whether or not we've been accepted and still have a chance to take the Kaplan in March, because supposedly we may not know anything until March 25 and you can only take the Kaplan during the month of March to be able to apply for the next nursing application round, which is in July.

Hopefully we will find out before March 25th though..

Whats your profile score anarsteele?

I know. I’m debating if I should take the risk of signing up for the test or not. I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry.

I calculated my score to be a 75.

I read the cut off for spring was a 50. Not sure if that is true or not.

Well they posted the Kaplan exam schedule on the Delgado testing website. Registration opens March 1st. They have four days after the 25th to take the exam. I just wonder how fast the spots fill up.

I can't believe they are only allowing one month out of the application period to take this test! I wonder what the point of this is?

Anyone going to the workshop at City Park? I'm going Tuesday.

I agree. Maybe they are just trying to cut down on the amount of applicants that aren’t super serious about the program. ?

I’ll be going to the workshop on Tuesday at the CP campus. Hoping to get some more info on how much money we’ll be expected to need and general information about clinical times/schedules, etc. You know, just in case I actually get accepted. ?

I heard the same thing about the cutoff score being 50 in the spring.

I think you’ll be good with a 75 for sure!
