Charity School of Nursing Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey, just wanted to create this forum for people that are going to apply to Charity for Fall 2019. That's when I feel I will be ready to apply! I'm still working on my prereqs!

I just signed up for the test too, I wanted the 29th but it was sold out, so ive opted for the 26th. The suspense is killing me! Im gonna study for this test like I need too just incase, but I really hope I dont need it.

P.s. I also didnt get that email....

Hey everyone! I applied to Charity in January and haven’t heard yet ? if we get in, does anyone know when orientation normally would be?

Hi all! I submitted my application in January and I can't wait to receive the decision letter! In the mean time I figured I'd introduce myself; I'm really hoping we all get in!

My name is Rachael and I'm finishing up a Master of Public Health at Tulane, and I have a Master of Liberal Arts from Tulane in Technical Writing. I'm applying for the RN program, and my husband is a graduate from the program. I applied with a profile score of 70. I still need to take A&P II over the summer. I'm hoping to use the RN to inform my designs for Public Health interventions, as it's important to understand how to work with clinics, nurses and doctors. I'm also looking forward to learning new things and seeing things from a different angle.

Good luck everyone! I saw that in previous years decision letters were mailed out about a week earlier than the estimate given by Charity, so hopefully we will know shortly.

Best wishes,

Rachael

Hey you guys!

I am SO uncertain on whether or not I should register to take the Kaplan this month.. I really don't have $70 to spend on an exam that I may and hopefully will not have to take. I'm also currently taking four classes and don't know how I'll find the time to study for it in the next two weeks.

I applied with a profile score of 70, so I feel mostly confident, but I am still worried that I won't get accepted for whatever reason that I'm not aware of.

And I think it's so weird that some of us got an email telling us that if we want to have the opportunity to apply to the program in the Spring that we must take the Kaplan in March, and some of us didn't get that email. You would think that it would be sent out to everyone, right?

Maybe call up there and tell them your concerns and ask what advise they could give you. I’m really hoping they give the decisions early so people do have enough time to sign up for the test considering the changes

I did sign up for the 29th. But I did it to be safe. I have a profile score of 75. I’m not going to start studying for the test until the decision letters go out. I’m starting to get really anxious!

19 more days ??

So this is how I understand the Kalpan test situation from the info session. If you have any doubt you will not get in this application period then you should sign up for the test. Otherwise, you have to wait until next January to apply again!! If you look on the charity website, a new profile sheet is posted. Looks like they are only using your scores for the science, critical thinking, and reading sections. http://www.dcc.edu/documents/academics/charity-school-nursing/profilefeb2019.pdf

I decided to take a chance and not sign up for the kaplan since my profile score is 85, but i'm still stressed!

We got a courtesy email Oct 1st making sure they had the correct email. And our decision email on the 3rd. It was post dated for the 5th. It was late in the evening. A few people got their letter that day as well. (If they lived close) I got my letter on the 5th. We were initially supposed to find out on the 7th.

I hope it's even earlier this go round.

Check y’all email !!!! I got in for the summer program . I pray we all got in ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

For the summer program? Did you apply to the LPN transfer?

Has anyone received an email if they were applying to the RN program for Fall admission?

No I called up there after Burrel posted that and they made it seem like it would be any day now.

I just called to check for the RN program for fall and they said March 25th for letters and emails ? hopefully it’s sooner!
