Hi, all... So I am applying in January 2018 for the fall 18` semester. I wanted to start a thread to not only have a place where can all ask questions and share info but to hopefully make some friends to start the program with. I know several girls and guys who have completed the program and having a good relationship with your peers is a must.

Lets all keep each other informed if we hear anything. My sister lives in TX and says if you log into the post office online, you can see a pic of your mail you will receive that day. I dont know if they do that here though. When the time gets closer to april, i know we will all be stalking our email and mailboxes lol.
I hope this wait goes by fast for all of us í ½í¸˜

Wait, so we're gonna get the email and the mail the same day?
I'd love to know you ladies (any gentleman?) better while we suffer through the waiting period together. Haha
What made everyone decide to get into nursing? For me, it is a second career choice. A lot of my family members are nurses. When I went to college the first go around, my mother always told me that I should go into healthcare. I went another path instead because I wasn't a "science person." I definitely wish I had done this way back then instead. I'm eager to help people, have some job security, and guess what? I found out I'm a "science person!"
I always knew I wanted to do something in healthcare! I always wanted to be a NICU nurse. I just love the babies! And after my sister gave birth, and seeing the role that the labor nurses, etc do, it confirmed that it's what I wanted to do. However, I was scared that I wasn't good enough to get into nursing school so I decided to do Rad tech, and after finishing I would go to sonography school. That way, I can register in OB and still do what I want. BUT, after taking my A&Ps, and doing REALLY well I knew nursing is what I wanted to do. So I decided to go ahead and apply í ½í¸Š My career goals is to eventually get a dual degree in Midwifery and Woman's Health Nurse Practioner.
This is my second time going to college. I didnt finish the first time. I am older (38) and when i had my kids (5 and 3) something changed about me. I just suddenly realized what i wanted to do and nursing was it. I went back to school ,did my pre reqs and here i am. When i was in the hospital having my babies, is when it really hit me. I loved all the nurses who took care of us and knew that was what i wanted to do. 10 years ago this was the last thing i would have ever seen myself doing, lol. But it just feels right!
