Charity School of Nursing Fall 2018

Published

Hi, all... So I am applying in January 2018 for the fall 18` semester. I wanted to start a thread to not only have a place where can all ask questions and share info but to hopefully make some friends to start the program with. I know several girls and guys who have completed the program and having a good relationship with your peers is a must.

I am finally finishing this life goal. I have always known I wanted to be a nurse. I naturally care for people and I am always the calm one during an incident. I quit my job last year and dove head first into finishing this. This semester I finish my prereqs. I have 2 children 12 years old and 10 years old. I recently(last weekend lol) just started working PRN in the ccu/icu at West Jefferson as a patient care tech and let me just say I`m in love! Saying I wanted to be a nurse has changed to I know I am meant to be a nurse. Highly recommend if you can to start working now, I will only be working a night or two a week so nothing demanding but the nurses involve me in everything and love teaching. It will make a huge difference once I start a program.

I always wanted to become a nurse since a very young age. My plans was to go straight to college after graduation but I became pregnant and had to drop out of high school my 12th grade year. (bummer). Before I knew it, I was a mother of two little girls by the age 18. It was very hard for me and my now husband. He had to work a lot of odd jobs just to keep a roof over our head while I was a stay at home mom. When I was 21 years old I decide to go to college but could not take it serious because I started working. when I made 25, I walk out on faith and when back to school full-time to pursuit my dream of becoming a nurse and I have not stop yet. I thank GOD for blessing my husband with a well paying job. I am 27 years old now and I am happy that I can focus on School and our three beautiful kids (2 girls 11 and 9 years old and 1 boy 5 years old). I am so proud of myself because I didn't think I would make it this far. That goes to show you with God in your life anything is possible. I am excited for all of us.

Hello everyone! I recently applied also with Charity. Hoping to start in the fall. Would like to make some good friends that could push each other through Nursing School. I hear it's really tough.

Welcome!! I have heard the same, glad we have this group to start getting to know each other!!

Is there anyone going on their second time applying at Charity? I resubmitted my application in January. I applied for the spring of this year but didn't get in. Not sure if it was because I didn't have all my A&P's or I didn't make the profile score. I feel good though about this time. I know they strict on having the A&P's.

I also apply last semester but didn't get in. What was your profile score last time?

This is my first time. My score is a 70 with both a&ps. What was yalls score last time?

The cut off score was 65 last time and I had a 60. Now I think I'm going in with a 75 or 80, so I feel good about it.

Mines was too. She told me the cut-off was 65 also. So we should get in this time. Im claiming.

Hey yall! Im reading old posts and they got their acceptance letters in the end of march. I hope that is the same for us. April is just toooo long of a wait lol

That's what I was told too, and sort of when I'm expecting to hear. I think the middle of April is when you should absolutely know, and to check with them if you haven't.

Hi, has anyone applied to the LPN-RN track?
