Charity School of Nursing Application for SP 2016

Published

Hey Everyone,

I'm sure that I'm making this post more for myself than anyone else but I'm just so excited and anxious! It's only a few days until the application period starts! I don't know about y'all but my application has been done since May. Lol. With 80 points on my profile score I'm feeling pretty confident but I just can't wait until October/November. I've even started looking at stethoscopes and shoes. I hope you are all as excited as I am and please feel free to express your joy, frustration, nervousness, ect. here with me and everyone else. Good luck with your applications and I wish acceptance for you all.

If you buy the hesi study guide I think its the 3rd version, it tells you pretty much everything you need to study.. but they didn't really make a big deal about conversions. And you do need to know those!!! I barely looked at the conversions thinking it wasn't going to be on there and turns out they were and they were also fill in!! Haha I'm going to retake my hesi, but i got an 82 on it.

I got an 88- my profile score is an 85 or an 80, so I'm a little confident. I just tried dropping off my app. Apparently official transcripts need to be mailed or walked in to Charity. Don't send them to Delgado or you'll have to get them all over again

Congrats!! That's great!

Will anyone be commuting to Charity from the Northshore? I live in Mandeville and would like to carpool starting in Spring 2016. I just turned in my application package on Monday. If my calculations are correct, then I believe I have a profile score of 80. According to all the posts, that seems to be a decent enough score.

That is a great score!! Congrats!! Sorry I live in kenner.

Sorry I live and work on the westbank in Marrero. This application week is almost over. One more to go then the process of going through the applications can finally begin :)

I realize that today is only the 9th but it feels like sooooo much time has passed since I submitted my app on the 3rd. I am ready for school to start so I have some kind of distraction!

Yep I check canvas everyday hoping to find courses and a syllabus for each one. Ready to start already to move time along!

Ikr. I got the canvas app and it's like stop telling me to take the day off. I'm tired of taking days off. Lol.

Agreed!!! This is why I took summer classes and also why if I don't get in I don't know what I'm going to do because Ill be so bored waiting a whole semester retaking my C classes

I'm taking classes during the fall, but I'm also getting the nursing book so I can casually read ahead and take my time with it. That way when I get in, everything won't be brand new material for me.

There is a copy of the syllabus on DCC website so you know what to read. You can also Google for quizlet and stuff.
