Hey Everyone,
I'm sure that I'm making this post more for myself than anyone else but I'm just so excited and anxious! It's only a few days until the application period starts! I don't know about y'all but my application has been done since May. Lol. With 80 points on my profile score I'm feeling pretty confident but I just can't wait until October/November. I've even started looking at stethoscopes and shoes. I hope you are all as excited as I am and please feel free to express your joy, frustration, nervousness, ect. here with me and everyone else. Good luck with your applications and I wish acceptance for you all.
Any LPN's on here who didn't get accepted and submitted an re-evaluation form please contact me on my personal email @ [email protected]. congrats to all who got accepted
I'm curious about something: you have been posting for four years now, and saying semester after semester that you have been denied admission to this school. Certainly you can see you aren't likely to be admitted after all these attempts, right? Why keep applying to the same school?
If you are bound and determined to get into a nursing program, then it seems to me that you should be looking at one that is willing to take you....and this school has been pretty clear in its message that it will NOT take you. You had a thread that was open for one day just a few days ago (it was closed quickly because of anger escalating out of control). Why not see that people have been trying to help you by telling you what is probably keeping you out of the program, rather than posting what appears to be online screaming that they are all wrong?
According to your postings, you got through an LPN program and after multiple failed attempts at the NCLEX you passed. Yay! But now you are facing four years' worth of rejections getting into a specific RN program, and it seems pretty obvious you aren't GOING to get in. If you're determined enough after all those tests, after all those applications, to keep going....you need to go somewhere else to try another crack at it. This school can't be any more obvious in its decision to keep you out.
Finally, if the impression you gave to the admissions committee via phone calls, emails, or in-person interviews has any relation to the impression you are giving here on this website, I don't have any trouble seeing why they are passing your application into the rejection bin. You aren't coming across as a dedicated professional, you are giving the impression of someone who is just this side of crazed. I'm telling you this with the hope that you will recognize the problem, and maybe fix it so you can move past this barrier...it's probably a major factor in denying you admission anywhere.
You can't change peoples' minds by screaming at them, or making demands that they accept you. It is what it is. Either give it up and forget about it or go somewhere else....but do it after you consider your presentation.

I read her post. The thread was closed before I could comment!! She's "determined" to get into nursing school but yet she won't retake any classes or the entrance exam. She had a profile score of 55. That will never get her in. She went on and on and on about having a degree. Points are given for bachelors and higher. She had an associates. Hopefully she can scale down the defensive tone. She may actually learn that people are just trying to help her

Maybe, but I'm not so sure now. I wrote what I did here because I genuinely believe that she doesn't understand why she is being rejected repeatedly, and was hoping to help. But....after reading some other posts, I'm just not so sure it's going to get through.
Somebody of merit once said (who? can't recall) that if EVERYONE around you says you are wrong...if you are the ONLY one who believes you are correct....if ALL others have reasons for why you are wrong....perhaps, indeed, you are wrong.
There is a difference between sticking to one's guns in a belief that one will prevail....and wasting all efforts in an utterly futile endeavor. IMHO, this school will never let in this applicant, as the admissions committee no doubt has seen the inappropriate responses and illogical demands....and won't touch a student like that with a ten-foot pole. And any other school that experiences such outrageous behavior in an applicant will instantly toss that application onto the rejection pile. NO doubt.
There is plenty of competition from applicants with solid backgrounds, solid test scores and grades, and enticing applications to choose anyone less than the best!
As a final "PS", somewhere in the rant was the comment "you don't know me!! Who are you? An RN? An instructor? A non-factor to me!!!"..... the SMART person on these boards will recognize that there are MANY instructors here....MANY who teach in the very schools being discussed....and MANY who sit on admission committees.
If anyone thinks that what is written here is completely anonymous (when specific details are posted) and that there will never be a repercussion for 'venting' in an oh-so-specific manner.....they are quite mistaken.

You will have to report it to bsn. You'll be fine. Turn in paperwork early so they have time to review it if they ask for more info. You aren't the first and won't be he last to do something stupid prior to nursing school
