Charity School of Nursing Application for SP 2016

Published

Hey Everyone,

I'm sure that I'm making this post more for myself than anyone else but I'm just so excited and anxious! It's only a few days until the application period starts! I don't know about y'all but my application has been done since May. Lol. With 80 points on my profile score I'm feeling pretty confident but I just can't wait until October/November. I've even started looking at stethoscopes and shoes. I hope you are all as excited as I am and please feel free to express your joy, frustration, nervousness, ect. here with me and everyone else. Good luck with your applications and I wish acceptance for you all.

How long does the semester last? About what date does it finish?

Congratulations! Spring starts mid January but you will have mandatory orientation the first week of January. Finals are over by mid May

Do we know when orientation is?

Y'all will find out when orientation is when you go to your mandatory meeting with your advisor. Y'all will find out who your advisor is next week at the health advising meeting.

You have a ton of paperwork to do in the next couple weeks. Board applications are due by the end of the month. Then health requirements are due by beginning of December.

Did anyone get to go to the first meeting today? I'm trying to get started on stuff, but I can't go until Friday. Do we get to do our drug tests there with the fingerprints, or do we have to get those done ourselves?

They will give you what you need.

They give you all the information you need at the meeting. Breathe. The hardest part is done :)

Hey I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me with this question or answer my question but I need some insight. I got accepted into nursing school however I had a simple misdemeanor on my record. The charges were dismissed and I all my information and records to show CNS and the state board of nursing for the mand meeting. Could this stop me from pursing my dreams and getting into nursing school?

I went today. They offer fingerprinting services but no on-site drug testing. They give you papers to explain all health requirements needed and pricing at area clinics. Also all of the background check information and application to the state. Plenty of paperwork.

As long as you report it you should be fine. There are several people who have records who are in my cohort. You get into more trouble if you try to hide it and not report it. The LSBN is kind of like the IRS!!! They always find out!!!!. Good luck in school. This will hopefully be a wonderful experience for all of you. Congrats on your acceptance

Ok thank you. I will most definitely be reporting it.
