Just Check In To See If Anyone Is Counting Down Before School Starts. I Am Counting Down And Reading. Good Luck To Everyone. Look Forward To See U At Orientation On 08/14/2008.
lisaque,
it takes a year, if you get in on your first try. i applied last august to start this august, but wasnt accepted, so i resubmitted my application for january. i got a call a couple of months ago from charity saying that i was accepted to the january class:yeah:, but some spots became available for august and they gave me the choice to begin in either class. so, for me things worked out. i know of cases where people are accepted their first time applying and i know of another student who was denied 3 times, despite having really good grades. it just varies for some reason.
good luck to you!
Thanks Alot ! If I pass( or when I pass) the TEAS on the 22nd of August---I'll be applying then. I've been told that there's no gaurantee of getting in with a 4.0 & students with lower GPA's have gotten in because they've had some type of medical experience. It's all very very scary to me. I'm finally seeing the end of the tunnel because I've been going part time for the past 4 or 5 years. I'm gonna apply to OLOL as well.....I just want to get into someone's nursing school !!!
I would suggest you bring some lunch. There are a few places to eat within walking distance, but there are microwaves in several spots in the school to heat food. Drink and snack machines also are around. I found that sometimes, there would be a vote on "lunch or no lunch", so during my 15 minute break, I would rush to eat my lunch from home,,,kept me from getting headaches from going without eating for so long...the instructors don't wait around for you to get back from whatever place you had to stand in line at,,,and if you choose to drive somewhere,,,you may lose your parking spot and have to pay again...
To the reply of nolastudent, along with the pen and notebook, you need to bring a copy of your CPR card, 2 copies of your medical Liability Insurance and a copy of your personal medical insurance. (I still need to get this and was told that I can go through the school for this). That's all that I know of. If you have other questions, I'll try to answer. My orientation is at 8:00am. What time is yours?
the cpr card, liability ins, etc are to be turned in on aug 18, according to the packet i have. although, it's probably a good idea to bring it to orientation too.
i think we all go for 8am on thurs the 14th, and fri it's only for 2 hrs according to the first letter of your last name. i go at 2pm on friday
it's getting so close!
yikessssssss I have less than a month to get this hugy kidney stone out of me and recover!!! helppppppp. Has anyone gotten their nurse paks yet from DCC bookstore? Also, don't we need to have DCC ID that can be taken at City Park campus as well? 2 lil things I need to get done at City Park.
