As of right now I cant go to the student to student... though I wanted to, it looks like I have to work (I'm hoping to pull some strings). But I have 2 question ... does anyone know if we can wear whatever to orientation or do we have to wear our scrubs? And second I keep putting this off but whats everyone doing about parking? any good tips?

I hope your job understands, but most businesses care-less about your education. Thats why I am taking a " leave of absence" from my job. As far as, parking there are numerous location you can safe parking. You should drive around the school, so you can see which parking lot seems more assesible for you. We only wear scrubs during clinical in March. Best of luck to u !!!!

Thanks for the info! Best of luck to you as well!
Hello everyone, I just read through this thread and I have a question: does Charity allow you to do clinicals at the hospital of your choice (i.e. can all of the clinicals be done at St. Tammany)? Also, whoever wouldn't mind sharing, what was your profile score for the application? Thank you.

Many students are not given there profile. When you hand deliver your application the Rep in admission will show you your profile sheet. You can pick the hospital of your choice, you just have to know what instructor teach at what hospital. You will find out this info once you are accepted. St Tammy instructor is cool, but if you want to do clinicals at St. Tammy throughout then must consider the instructor. Unversity is thee best. Charity is a good school, but tough. Be prepared to have no life for three months. Once you are accepted get organize, network, read ahead. Do not listen to negativity from others.
You can figure out your profile score yourself. Within the application packet there should be a profile sheet that assigns points for how many courses completed, the grade received, and the TEAS score. I applied knowing I had a 13. And yes the top profile scores are the ones selected first. The process of determination starts from the highest score and selects all the way down to the last available slot. If you haven't taken already, try to do extremely well on the TEAS.
As far as choosing your hospital, it's a gamble because everyone is choosing at the same time. I don't know how many people vie for Northshore hospitals. It was tough to get the hospital I wanted and I ended up somewhere else.
