Have you seen this superb medical drama? It's set in the late 1800s Germany. It's a Netflix production, done in German with English subtitles. It explores the life of Robert Koch, German physician and microbiologist, who identified the cause of tuberculosis.
The series really captures that early time in medicine, as well as the cultural backdrop of Germany in that era.

Thanks for the heads up. I love period flics, especially medical shows. I loved The London, The Royal and Call the Midwife. Luckily, Call the Midwife is still making new episodes. Looking forward to seeing this movie.

Yes! I just finished watching it. It was a fascinating rendition of early medicine and nursing. I wish there was more than one season!
