Chances of getting in Chamberlain?

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

Hi guys! I just wanted to talk about my chances of getting into Chamberlain. I took some science courses at another university and did miserably due to depression from losing my friend to suicide. I transferred to a community college and did way better a year later. My GPA is 2.98 I am going to take my HESI soon and I really want to score high so I can be in competitive due to my low GPA. Do you think they will accept me? I have been freaking out all month about it. Also some tips for the HESI will be greatly appreciated !

when you got accepted to chamberlain did they call you or sent you a letter that you are in?

Hi! They called me first and my acceptance letter came in the mail few days after the call.

I got a call maybe a week or two before I got the letter. I just had orientation today. So much to get done!

Way to go Ali! Yep, so much to get done. All the shots and background check, all of that. Was the orientation on campus?

No it was online ☹️. I can’t wait for things to go back to normal.

Congrats to you all! Im hoping to get in for Spring, Summer or Fall.

I know this post is old, but I am applying to chamberlain for this fall at the houston campus. I am currently an LVN/LPN. based on the information session that I attended, I have all the prereqs completed (still waiting to see which transfer) and they said I could test out of 9 credit hours for having an LVN license. Does anyone in this group also have an LVN license and what length of time are you predicted to graduate? What has your experience at chamberlain been like? I saw bad reviews for the houston campus, so I am slightly hesitant to attend, if I am accepted.

In a few weeks I’m going to be coming up on my 1 year mark at Chamberlain. I was never a LVN/LPN  so I can’t answer that question. Chamberlain’s atmosphere is a little different from my previous college (community college). I have 3 negatives and that is the price (I don’t complain about that anymore because I knew what I was getting into), my campus is very small so we don’t have a on-site library but my biggest complaint would be the communication, they lack so bad in that area, sometimes so hard to get in touch with someone, even worst now because of Covid and a lot of things are being done remotely.

The pros, I love the fast pace! Even though we learn so much in such a short time, they do provide a lot of resources to help. I had a few more general classes to complete while still doing my nursing classes and so my graduation date is April 2023.

That's not bad! wow congrats! I don't think Chamberlain was the only one dealing with communication issues during covid though. I actually left my previous RN program last year because online learning was not for me. I didn't like how I wasn't able to see my professors as much as I would've liked to and discuss exams or things like that. I am hoping for a better experience with chamberlain. The price does look pretty steep but when I first moved to Texas, I was paying out of state tuition so I grew used to it.
