Chances of getting in Chamberlain?

Published

Hi guys! I just wanted to talk about my chances of getting into Chamberlain. I took some science courses at another university and did miserably due to depression from losing my friend to suicide. I transferred to a community college and did way better a year later. My GPA is 2.98 I am going to take my HESI soon and I really want to score high so I can be in competitive due to my low GPA. Do you think they will accept me? I have been freaking out all month about it. Also some tips for the HESI will be greatly appreciated !

Hey there! I think you still have a shot as your GPA is still higher than 2.75. I would say study pretty hard for the HESI exam. Just a tip...The book is great for some sections. But you will definitely need some other resources especially for the Science sections. The science sections are much more detailed than the review book. I cannot stress that enough!!!

Hi! Which campus are you applying to? Some campuses are more competitive than others. For example, I attend the Sacramento campus and I applied with a 3.7 GPA and 97% on the HESI. Our average HESI is above 90% and they say 3.0 or higher for GPA is required for my campus due to only accepting 30 people at a time.

Specializes in ED, ICU, CARDIAC STEPDOWN.

Does your check cash? It is a for profit school. I did and regret it.

Hi! I applied for Troy campus. I’m not sure how competitive it is. I turned in my passion for purpose letter yesterday so now the waiting begins and I’m super nervous.

What is the update from your purpose letter?

Hi! Turned out I got accepted !

Wow! Congratulations! What was your hesi score? I am in the process of applying, I haven’t officially applied yet.. but I sent an advisor my unofficial transcript to see what courses could get transferred and I will be attending an informational session next week.

Wow that's great! My Hesi score wasn't that good. I passed with a 76 % but it's still passing. My GPA was around 3.0 or something. But I made my letter really emotional. What campus are you applying for?

My GPA is a 3.2 I’m hoping to do really well for the hesi. I’m applying at the Pearland campus it’s just outside of Houston. I could also apply to the Houston one, but I’ve heard better things about the Pearland one.

I think you'll be fine. I bought the HESI study guide book and basically studied everything in the book. If you took anatomy, chemistry and biology before and did good in those classes, you should be fine. Try to see which classes transfer over because you don't want to be paying a lot for classes you could take at a community college! It's highly expensive at chamberlain, they raised the tuition fee at my school. Chamberlain has only been around in my state for 4 years and its getting more and more popular that students keep applying. I heard they might add a waitlist because theres too many people. You should ask around and see if its a well known campus. The more students the more competitive I believe. But I believe you'll do fine, you have a good GPA and its higher than the minimum requirement which is like 2.75. Let me know how it goes when you apply, keep in touch ?

Hi Ememz, what is the Troy campus like? I recently learnt abt it and I applied so I’m just waiting to hear back from them. What is your class schedule and are you enjoying being at Chamberlain?
