Hello eveyone Im new to this site. Im wondering if there is anyone out there enrolled in Chamberlain FNP program. I just began this month. So far so good. What I am concerned about is the actual FNP courses.

Good Morning Albaz2600RN.

I am a Chamberlain FNP student. I am in NR 510 and 503. I doubled the classes. It is very intense and yet I am learning more than I ever thought I would. Case studies make being a FNP feel all so real and the responsibility of it seems real!. I start clinical s in Jan. Best to you as you progress. The key is to be concise but completely cover the topic in the discussion threads and papers.

I am a current Chamberlain student in pharm, will be doing assessment next session followed by clinicals August 31. FNP specific courses are more time consuming and more work than the core courses

Hi,

In July I'm registered for NR 503 and was also considering adding NR 510. How was your experience taking them together? The past two 8 week sessions I've taken two classes together and managed just fine. I'm just concerned about the assignments that are due and when. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry duplicate

Sorry so long to reply. Double if you can. All DT or cases are due Wed with replys and part 2-3 due Sunday as well as two papers during the course . I stopped doubling at Patho and will do pharm alone. Have to take assessment alone. Best to you. let me know if you have questions. It helps if during week one you read every assignment as many can build on each other. What you use in a DT maybe the start of your week 7 paper!.

Hi, I am starting the FNP program in 2 weeks. I was interested in soubling up my classes and was wondering if you would be able to give me any advice on what classes to take together and which ones not to? I work full time and have a pretty busy family life so I'm a little worried about up. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciatred! Thanks!

Chamberlain is not a easy and requires dedicated hours each week. That said I work, have two very high demanding special needs children and am a single parent and it is doable. Time saving tip is if you can set up a designated area for your school work. It will help.

As far as classes go they would not let me double the first 8 weeks until I proved I could do it. I came to them with a 4.0. I NR 500 by itself. I will list the two I did together:

501 + 512

505+506

503+510

507 Advanced Psychopathology I am taking alone. The amount of reading and research is tremendous. I know some who are doing it with 508 Advanced Pharm. I could not do patho with pharm and have maintained my 4.0. It is about learning, not about speed. I knew family life this term would be more demanding so I slowed down. I am so glad I did. Find your preceptor NOW! I live in Glendale AZ and I am struggling to find one. Blessings on your studies.

Thank you so much for your advice, I really really appreciate it! You have definitely encouraged me to go ahead and double my classes. Have you found that the instructors are helpful if you reach out to them with any questions?
