Which online MSN program??
I agree. I am struggling in finding clinicals. If the clinicals are not reserved for the brick and mortar schools they are bought up by the companies that charge a huge fee (about$9,500) to find and arrange your clinicals. I am in Phx., AZ and if you know of any NP willing let me know! it is possible-I work full time, have two disabled kids and have kept a 4.5 GPA. It is hard and at times I think I will go crazy with my schedule and issues with my NP school. In the end it will be worth it all.

FNP AANP how to pick out wrong answers?
I have found this book to be helpful..."FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION INTENSIVE REVIEW, by Maria T. Codina Leik. It has a whole section on question dissection and analysis. Hope this is helpful

Hate my FNP job
Congratulations on the new job. As a student NP I am reminded by my professors that we will hate being a NP for the first year and not like it the second year. They encourage us to hang in there untill year three when you feel confident, and love what you do. Best to you on the new job. Keep posting as a student it is great to learn from a new grad as well as from those who are great, experienced NPs.

Chamberlain
Chamberlain is not a easy and requires dedicated hours each week. That said I work, have two very high demanding special needs children and am a single parent and it is doable. Time saving tip is if you can set up a designated area for your school work. It will help. As far as classes go they would not let me double the first 8 weeks until I proved I could do it. I came to them with a 4.0. I NR 500 by itself. I will list the two I did together: 501 + 512 505+506 503+510 507 Advanced Psychopathology I am taking alone. The amount of reading and research is tremendous. I know some who are doing it with 508 Advanced Pharm. I could not do patho with pharm and have maintained my 4.0. It is about learning, not about speed. I knew family life this term would be more demanding so I slowed down. I am so glad I did. Find your preceptor NOW! I live in Glendale AZ and I am struggling to find one. Blessings on your studies.

Sorry so long to reply. Double if you can. All DT or cases are due Wed with replys and part 2-3 due Sunday as well as two papers during the course . I stopped doubling at Patho and will do pharm alone. Have to take assessment alone. Best to you. let me know if you have questions. It helps if during week one you read every assignment as many can build on each other. What you use in a DT maybe the start of your week 7 paper!. Koitriona

MSN schools
I am half way through Chamberlains program. It is not easy and demands time. Almost all programs including Phhx. online and Grad Canyon require that you find your own preceptor. They do help you if you are having difficulties. I am impressed with the level of learning. I received my BSN from ASU which is a top program. I do not feel like I stepped down to do this program. I have a 4.5 GPA from both schools. What I don't like is that after you start a class they can move you to another class, same NR number just new instructor. They did it one time to me resulting in my having to resubmit work done the first week of class. I save everything so it was not to difficult but still....

Good Morning Albaz2600RN. I am a Chamberlain FNP student. I am in NR 510 and 503. I doubled the classes. It is very intense and yet I am learning more than I ever thought I would. Case studies make being a FNP feel all so real and the responsibility of it seems real!. I start clinical s in Jan. Best to you as you progress. The key is to be concise but completely cover the topic in the discussion threads and papers.
