Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Hey everyone!!!

I applied for the May 2019 start at the Sac campus. I don't see a current feed, so I wanted to start this one so other applicants can get connected.

I would love to know if you've been admitted, waiting to hear your admission decision, or if you're considering applying.

Look forward to talking to you all!!!

Thanks for the encouragement and helpful tips! I’ve been getting 90’s and 100’s on all the pocket prep as well as the el sevier book tests. I take my test in the morning!

Goodluck to everyone who has applied! I hope we all get accepted. ?

Update: I took my HESI today and got a 95.4%! I haven’t gotten my “Chamberlain score” yet so hopefully it doesn't drop down! I am so anxious to find out if I am accepted or not. I can’t imagine what it feels like to those who are waiting to hear back for May! I applied to Sept.

Yes, I am so anxious waiting to get the call from my advisor. Hoping for the best!!!!

My advisor just called me and my Chamberlain score was a 96.9% so we’ll call than 97% haha I’m in the first round of applications for September!!

My fingers are crossed for you guys, you both have excellent HESI scores and GPA’s. I’m anxious to hear if we get accepted!! Do you know when you should hear about your status?

Thank you! Yours was amazing as well! Look forward to meeting you if we’re both accepted. I think last year I find out a couple days after the meeting. And I totally get it. I just finished my application yesterday and I want it to be the end of February so I can have a decision already!!

goodluck to you! ?

Any news for those who applied for May start? I applied for September and my advisor told me the committee is meeting the week of feb 18. The wait is killing me! If anyone was deemed academically eligible for May, what are the next steps ?

Hello everyone. I’m actually all the way in Indiana and going to be moving to Florida which Chamberlain is locates in both locations. I’m reading everyone’s responses and I’m noticing everyone is talking about GPAs which I don’t have the slightest idea what mine is. I know the school I went to before was subpar by any means and I could care less to transfer the credits. I’d rather start fresh, I’m currently a QMA (not a medical assistant). So I would be doing the 3 year BSN program. I have no qualms about taking the Hesi. I’m just catching a feel about what to expect. I’m planning on starting in May as well.

Hello everyone! I am planning on applying to the nursing program this year as well. Does anyone in here knows someone who finished their nursing program in chamberlain? If so, how was it? I see the bad reviews on line, but I don't want to believe in it.

Hey! I actually know several people in the program as well as a couple people who have graduated. The Sacramento campus specifically has a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX and the school as a whole as around an 89-90% pass rate for FIRST time NCLEX takers.

My friends that that are in the program right now love their professors and feel they are given so many opportunities to get involved in the community as well as succeed in their classes. They have all loved their clinical sights as well and feel that they are prepared to take the NCLEX. Of the people I do know that have graduated from Sac Chamberlain have all loved their experiences. Obviously it’s going to be hard, and sacrifices will have to be made, but this is with every BSN or ADN program.

Throughout my application process at Chamberlain (I’ve applied 2x was rejected last year and still awaiting for my decision for this year) I have had great communication from my advisors. I always have an opportunity to ask questions as well as get the answers I am looking for! Just recently o took the HESI a2 at the beginning of this month and scored a 97%, and I should find out soon if I am accepted or not.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions regarding the application process feel free to reach out as I’ve gone through it twice!

oh wow thank you so much for that informative response @Powell.E ! May I ask where did you take your HESI? is it like a TEAS test?

In my opinion the HESI and TEAS are very different. I found both to be difficult but the TEAS wasn’t as straight forward as HESI. I got an 80% on the TEAS. For the HESI, you’ll take it at one of the chamberlain campuses when you apply and they usually require 2 attempts unless you score high enough the first time. I only took it once this tome around.
