Chamberlain FNP 2015 (looking for previous & new students)

Published

Hi!

I am looking to start Chamberlain about July 2015. I am seeking students that are already in the course and want to provide some insight into the courses/advice.

Also looking for soon to be students to link up.

All the previous threads are from previous years so it's time to start a new thread.

How do you like Chamberlain's FNP program? Are they selective on whom they accept into the program? Also, are you able to work full time?

So far the program is going well and I have not had any issues with it. As far as the admission process, I was admitted to Chamberlain as an ADN with the initial intent to just receive my BSN. The admission process was not very difficult for me. The admissions adviser was very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed. My application was literally 2 weeks start to finish, because I didn't make my initial call until 2 weeks before the term started. As far as the MSN program, I believe you have to hold a minimum GPA for admittance but I am not certain what that is.

I have worked full-time since I started the program, plus I have 4 children. I have been able to hold a 4.0 GPA so I would definitely say it is doable with a full time job. Once you get to clinicals, it will definitely take some juggling to manage a full time work schedule.

Hi there, I just applied to the program. My projected start date is Feb. 29, I wanted to start in January though!

The Application process was a breeze and it doesn't have many strict requirements like other schools. I have been in the FNP program for two years and I have three classes let. It has been challenging but well worth it.

I start in January as well.

It's nice to hear that the program is tough, yet doable. I do not doubt that it is. Honestly, I still feel very skeptic on how incredibly easy it is to get accepted. I feel graduate school should have more rigorous requirements. Anyone else feel this way?

Hi athomas-

I am super excited that you over half way done with my program! I am so excited to start Oct 26, 2015. Any insights would be amazing. Are you able to work? Thx so much. Myra

Hey everyone I start the FNP program on October 26th 2015. I am making a facebook group to help each other through this process!

Look for Chamberlain FNP Fall 2015

I also start in January. I'm a little nervous I want to double up but work Monday - Friday 8-430 to the people that have started is that doable.

Congrats me too.

I thought the same thing with the ease to get in but maybe that's the difference between for profit and non-for profit colleges.

Hi, I have been accepted to start the FNP program at Chamberlain as well in January! Just wanting to know if I am the only one struggling to find a practicum site for the practicum application??
