Chamberlain FNP 2015 (looking for previous & new students)

Hi!

I am looking to start Chamberlain about July 2015. I am seeking students that are already in the course and want to provide some insight into the courses/advice.

Also looking for soon to be students to link up.

All the previous threads are from previous years so it's time to start a new thread.

I am also hoping to start in July or August this year. I've spoken with an admissions advisor and went through everything. The steps are pretty easy as far as applying. I have the same issues as most people do with the stress of trying to find your own preceptor. I am in Southern California and would love to connect with anyone joining the same time! I've gotten a lot of great information from the other posts!

Please with an admissions advisor ASAP. Make sure you have fulfilled all their requirements a few months before you plan on enrolling. If you do not hear back from them, make an effort on your own.

Hi just applied and am hoping to get accepted to the July 2016 class. Waiting for the transcripts to be received. Any tips you have or anything you have found out about Chamberlain would be appreciated. I applied and haven't actually spoken to an admissions advisor yet.

You will have to look for a site and preceptor on your own. Chamberlain will not help much in this area. Try to get this sorted before hand and make sure all paperwork is signed and submitted at the earliest.

how hard have the paper assignments been? I am an excellent test taker but horrible at writing papers. This is the only area I am afraid I will fail at.

Hi everyone, I am from Sterling VA and will be starting Chamberlain's FNP program August 2016, I am so excited and ready to get started. I am nervous about finding preceptors though, I found out recently that the one I put on my application I can't use because they do not have a clinical agreement with Chamberlain so now I have to find a new one, does anyone out there live in Virginia and have any preceptor connections?? I plan on doubling after the first class so will potentially be starting clinical's August or September of 2017. Does anyone know if there are breaks between classes?? Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi,

I started in Nov2015. My fear of writing is what kept me from grad school for way too long. The first five classes have A LOT of writing assignments. I bombed the first one mostly because I did not follow the Rubric. I started using the rubric to outline my papers and followed it closely. I have gotten "A" on all the ones after. The papers are the hardest part for me but it is doable.

Does anyone have the first class syllabus they want to share? I start in August only because there were no spots left for May. I would love to get started ASAP and have time to look things over.

Hi LNP-rn2012....I'm starting in August too an plan on doubling classes too but myou counselor told me I will be starting clinical in Spring 2018 because your can't double core classes? So I'm wondering if I have wrong infos? Did you ask when you will be starting
