Chamberlain College Pearland campus

Published

Hello everyone, I am interested in applying to Chamberlain for 2020 at the Pearland campus in Texas. Iv'e been doing research, and some of the bad reviews frighten me... please feel free to comment anything regarding Chamberlain if you are also on the same boat as me, or already a student there.

Im so scared of being declined admission at Chamberlain. My transcript is not the best, but I have a 3.21 GPA and have an AA in Business. I am currently studying for the HESI, as I feel that can save me. ???

Hello! I applied for the pearland campus around the beginning of this month and it took them quite a while to process my application. I understand that we're in the middle of a pandemic and I was told that the committee only meets on Friday but I drove myself crazy looking through threads and psyching myself out. I emailed my advisor two days ago and he called me within an hour later and told me I was deemed academically eligible for the September 2020 session. The only thing that's left for me to do is to complete my background and drug test and talk to my financial advisor about my schedule and payment for classes. I haven't received my acceptance letter in the mail but I've seen on other threads where students have said that you technically aren't accepted until you complete your drug/background test so hopefully in another two weeks I'll be getting my letter in the mail. CONGRATS on getting accepted as well! I don't know you but I'm so proud of you!

For anyone else who might come upon this thread and you're worried about the status of your acceptance because you haven't heard anything, I would email or call your advisor and ask them about it. They're supposed to call us and tell us the decision the committee has made and walk us through our next steps per what the website states. My advisor submitted my application on the 10th and the committee met on the 12th so I probably would've known sooner had I not been waiting on my advisor to call me and tell me the decision himself but he didn't until after I reached out to him. You really don't want to sit around and wait because you do have to speak to a student advisor about how you're going to pay for your classes and submit a FAFSA application if you're using financial aid, complete your drug/background check, get your schedule, and do your online readiness assessment. I also read that they can cap you for the semester your applying for and make you reapply for the next semester if everything isn't completed in a timely manner so if it's been longer than two-three weeks and you haven't heard anything please get in contact with your advisor!

Good luck to everyone who applied and CONGRATS to those of you who got in!

Thank you, CONGRATS to you as well! Wish you the best on your journey. ALSO for anyone reading this thread if Chamberlain holds back some of your credits, make sure to bring it up to student services during your orientation with them! I informed student services of the credits that Chamberlain did not transfer, but should have qualified and she submitted a request and 2 weeks later the credits were approved.

Hello Everyone,

CONGRATS to everyone that got accepted this Fall! I am in the process of applying this fall. So far my advisor sent in my file and it is about to be presented to the committee. I'm really nervous and, like you all, am very anxious waiting for an answer. Hopefully I get accepted and join you all for this upcoming semester.

Have you heard anything so far in regards to your application?

Yes! I just received a call yesterday after they reviewed my application and I was accepted! Whew, it was a load off my mind for sure. I am excited to join you all this upcoming fall.

How are you guys liking it so far? I was accepted for Spring 2021 start.

The classes and professors are great so far! The con is the student services and administrative side of the school is pretty bad. You have to be patient with them, but you will get frustrated.

I am finishing up my first session, and it has been great so far! The work load is heavy, so it takes a lot of time and dedication. I was working 40 hours and resigned, because for me personally it was not working out. Other than that, I love Chamberlain. I was hesitant to start with Chamberlain, because when you Google them it can give you some bad reviews... however, so far I’ve had a great experience. Good luck and congrats!!

Hi, thanks for your response.

I'm just wondering, how are you paying? Do they allow you to pay half in beginning semester & later at the end or is it by session? Did you receive any of their scholarships? Has any graduate gotten a job immediately & is it possible to transfer credit to do a master's in a public school afterwards?

Hello, I just got a call from my advisor that I’ve been accepted into the program in Houston (Chamberlain). Is anyone going there at the moment? And how is it?
