Hi everyone, I am starting this forum to see if there is anyone else out there applying or has been accepted into Chamberlain. I initially applied to UT School of Nursing & as of now I'm not sure if I'll be accepted. But, since I'm so anxious to start nursing after being out of high school for 8 years I honestly don't want to wait any longer. There are advantages to Chamberlain for one it is close to home. I took my Hesi back in May I got a 92 I have a 3.8 GPA. Honestly for me I don't want to get an Associates in nursing and that's why I'm now looking at chamberlain. So far I have completed a lot of the pre requisites so I'll only need nursing classes. I don't want to take more courses or the TEAS to apply at another school so I'm going to try my luck here.

I am also applying to the Chamberlain College of Nursing in Houston. Any updates regarding acceptance into this term?
Hi there, well I haven't officially applied yet. I'm waiting to hear back from UT before i pay another application fee. I would also have to take the HESI over since I didn't take all the sections they require. Are you planning on applying for the Spring?
Yes, I am currently applying for Spring 2019. Did you also apply to UTH in the Medical Center?
Yes I only applied there since i had completed everything for that school. Let me know how it goes when you do apply. I will be sure to update you as well.

Hi! I am also applying for Spring 2019 at Chamberlain Houston. I have an appt with Ana academic advisor at the end of this week.
Hi there. Please tell us how it goes? What parts of the HESI did you take?
The meeting with the advisor went great! I suggest that you should apply to this school, she seemed very knowledgable about everything and answered all my questions. I will be taking my HESI next Friday. If you apply before next Monday, I believe, you get your application fee waived as well as your HESI exam fee waived. So my application and HESI test is now free! The parts of the HESI that we would be taking includes reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, math, anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, personality profile, and lastly learning styles. You need to obtain a 73 as your overall score to get considered an admission. If you have any more questions, let me know!
Thanks so much for all the great information I will definitely be applying now. How did you meet with the advisor did you make an appointment and did they help you apply there?? Have you taken the HESI before I have but I wasn't required to take biology, chemistry, personality or learning styles. That's not bad that we need at 73 but I think the higher the better. Also are you applying anywhere else I'm also looking at WGU.
I called to make an appointment with an advisor, and I applied online. So basically, you fill out the application online, and then during the meeting the advisor will go over your application and submit it to the board. Learning styles or personality aren't really counted towards the grade. It's more of to see how you learn. But yes, I've taken the hesi before, last summer I believe. I did really well on it, but I never took biology or chemistry. So I'm kinda nervous about that too haha. I applied to UTHealth, but I've been waitlisted to that school so many times now. I've actually never heard of WGU. Is it any good? If you do plan on applying, did you finish all your non-nursing prerequisites?
