Chamberlain BSN 2023 - Sacramento

Published

Hi, I do not see a topic for future applicants of the BSN Program at Chamberlain starting January 2023. Just wanted to know where everyone is at in the application process. For those not applying to the Sacramento location, any input/stats/conversation would still be helpful!

Hello! I just recently was accepted for May 2023. My stats are 3.4 GPA, 3.2 pre req GPA, licensed clinical medical assistant, phenomenal personal statement (or so I’ve been told by multiple schools), all pre-reqs completed, 91 on HESI, previous bachelors degree. I just graduated and this is my first rounds of college applications.

I think I will be accepting, unless I hear back from University of San Francisco.

What can I expect now? I know that May is very far so I’m expecting to complete and schedule the background test and drug test later, unless I can do it sooner? It’s been radio silence since I’ve been accepted and I’m unsure why.

Also, anyone who has taken the math proficiency test how was it? I took stat and got an A, I hate math though.

Excited in seeing some of you this upcoming session!

Hey! Congrats on getting in! I was told the background check has to be done within 90 days of the start date so they can’t do that until closer to May. I’m assuming that’s when all of the things kinda start happening. I also found out I was accepted for May but have get to talk To anyone about the details of the program. I have all my prereqs done as well and just took the math competency test for algebra and arithmetic and I thought the algebra one was kinda hard. I haven’t taken math classes in 8 years though so it was all things I just never used and lost.

Hi! hello! I hope yalls had a happy new year! I also got in for May 2023 start for my second time applying! Sorry just now I got busy with preparing for my daughter's first birthday then the holidays!

I'm very excited and also terrified!?

If yalls would like to keep in touch through the process before the school start, please send me an email and we can all form a group chat ?So far, I signed the docu sign the night my advisor told me I got accepted. She said the process won't start until two weeks before the school starts.

Hey! Congrats! Yes let’s start an email thread with those of us that got accepted! My friend also go accepted so I now know 3 of us out of 45 ? I don’t see your email above but mine is [email protected]

Congratulations ? I am happy for you.

Hi Thank you ladies!! my email address is [email protected]

 ☺️

I'm here reading all reddit blogs on advices for future nursing students LOL

I am happy that you guys who got into Chamberlain. I was actually accepted for the Spring 2023 cohort, but I have to decline my spot because I am going to San joaquin Delta College and program start next week.

I had no doubt youre gonna get in to delta too! May you have an amazing journey on your nursing program! Thank you for your help!! I will never forget you! ?

Did anyone else get accepted and has been completely ghosted. I have no clue when everything is happening, such as background check and drug test. After going on a hunt for my academic advisor for a month, she claimed she would call me back next week or the week after to talk about financial aid and the background/drug check but she has yet to keep her word so far. She doesn’t reply to my calls and emails for months at a time, the only reason I even got her to call me is because I escalated it to her boss.

So because I have an advisor who keeps me completely in the dark I have no clue what’s going on. What happening two weeks from the start date? When would we pick classes? When do we finally figure out what classes have transferred over? Like I’m so in the dark it’s so frustrating. If anyone could give me insight that would be amazing. I’ve requested multiple times for a different academic advisor and they won’t give me a new one. Such a bummer and kills my excitement for the may cohort.
