Okay thank you for telling me. I did my second attempt on Sept. 20 then the "soft transfer" happened a week after that and it was a Monday. Then they told me to submit my essay. Also the other community college havent submitted my official transcript that time. Then they said last week was the decision but I called and said to wait till next Friday... and here I am today at 1241pm, shaking from my 3rd cup of coffee at work! LOL I will definitely call again. Thank you Kat and congratulations again! I feel your happiness from here!!???

Hi, has anyone that has attended multiple colleges/institutions filled out the external institution to Chamberlain admission request form? My advisor reached out for me to fill it in through docusign, but there is only space for one institution. Just curious if anyone else was in the same boat as me.

The thing with me is my GPA is not as competitive. I've got 3.04, 7 years hospital bedside experience peds to adults as a Mental health worker, My HESI was 90 but accdg to their grading it’s 89.50%, Essay completed, and “soft transfer” has been completed. However, Im still hopeful I can get in ???

May I know the status of your application and your stats?

I still think you have a pretty good chance of getting in. As long as you explained your GPA in your paper and show them who you are as a person, I think you have a solid chance.

What's a "soft transfer"?

For you to say that is not competitive is putting me to shame. The college GPA that I’m transferring from is a 2.8 and I got exactly a 76 on the HESI. I also don’t have any experience in the health field except some CNA classes that I never got a license for. So if I can get in then anyone could get In. I just got a welcome to chamberlain email and all I have to do is complete all my compliance requirements and actually talk to a financial advisor. Like these people seem to be dodging my calls. I waited 2 hours on the phone and still was not able to get in touch with anyone. Also I tried to send in my Ap scores and was not able to since collegeboard has the wrong address for chamberlain. I’m supposed to be starting next week and I haven’t met with any financial advisor to set up any loans or anything. So yea it’s not going to great for me either. But on the bright side I’m getting my fingerprint and drug test done tomorrow.

What's a "soft transfer"?

Yes so I did called today and my call was answered. Basically, they are busy with the students that are going to start on November and I'm on the January start. My requirements are already with them and they are just waiting for the registers office to take it, so there's still no decision. I asked how long will it take based on her experiences with these kind of circumstance and she said to give another week.

I forgot whats it called "warm transfer or soft transfer"? basically it was a little webinar interview and review on my requirements and financial plans.

Are you starting for November or January?

Oh dang. I hope they get to it next week then! Seems like they just keep pushing back. But I'm glad someone was able to talk to you and explain what's happening. The wait sucks! So sorry!

I didn't know they did that, I didn't have that. I'm still waiting to schedule my financial review and get me set up to start the drug screen/background process.

I am starting in January for the Sacramento campus. You're applying for the January start date for Sac too right?

The wait does suck and I have no choice but to check in everyday now. I have waited patiently and I'm very VERY hopeful to get into their school. I've heard a lot of good things despite the rocky start.
