Me too. I utilized the opportunity to learn skilled nursing and complete my Public Health Nurse License. I have relocated to another state and found residency. Initially, it is tough for 1-2 years with lower pay than in California, but in the long run, it is beneficial because you will gain experience before you relocate back to your home state.

Before the final closure of a laparotomy—or any surgery involving the opening of a body cavity (thoracic, cranial, pelvic, etc.)—it is essential to prioritize patient safety. If the sponge count or instrument count is incorrect, immediately request a surgical time-out and notify the surgeon. Closure should not proceed until all counts have been reconciled and confirmed as correct. Anticipating and enforcing these critical safety procedures is a fundamental responsibility of the surgical team and plays a vital role in preventing retained surgical items and ensuring patient safety.

I haven't got any interview schedule email. I applied for both the Sacramento area and Sanjose area. The things I learned from the people who got offered the position said that you have to have luck, the right keywords in the resume, and don't get discouraged if you don't get it. There are multiple residency programs. Congratulations to all those who got interview letters. I don't know how they select people from 2600 resumes. I myself am quite intrigued and just being positive during these times. I thought going through nursing and getting the NCLEX would get me a job, but now I have a few more steps to climb before I get into my ideal job.

Hi Rose, I am always curious and looking forward to working in OR one day. If I am correct, our family practice physician refers us first if we have a surgical problem. Once the surgeon examines, depending upon our situation, whether benign or malignant, we will do our clinical case workup and then confirm our diagnosis with aided labs, biopsy reports, and imaging investigations. After the pre-operative anesthetic check-up, we will enter OR, and I don't know what happens from there onwards.

Delta College announced the final ranking and acceptance emails. I hope some one close to delta college opts out of Yuba. I wonder what must be the cut-off points for Spring 2023.
