Chaffey College ADN program in Spring 2019

Published

Hello everyone,

i am applying for Spring 2019. I decide to create a new board because I did not found one yet. I just want to know how the ADN program works and people who are applying. Just update and keep in touch information on the thread. Good luck everyone who is applied.

nothing for me. How about you? Are you applying elsewhere or just only chaffey?

Nothing here either. :( I also applied to Valley, but idk if I have enough points to get invited to take the HESI. Have you also applied elsewhere?

no. I only applied for chaffey this semester, but definitely apply to somewhere else after got denied letter. I suppose if I do not receive anything tomorrow, it would be denied to me.

Hang in there guys. When I went to turn in my slip to the health science dept today I was told that they didn't end up accepting 40 applicants.... 5 are returning students who failed their first semester so that limited the number of open seats. I know veterans get priority also but that I know of only 1 veteran has gotten in & she's a friend of mine.

My friends & I asked if letters are done being sent out & they basically told us that they won't give out that information.

I know it's easier said than done but don't feel bad if you don't get a letter. It all just depends on how many available seats there are.

Yeah, this is my second time applying to Chaffey. I've applied to Mt.SAC too but I don't haven enough points there since I didn't score so high on the HESI. :/ I hope acceptance/alternative letters are still being sent. It sucks having to go through this all over again. :( Good luck, & post any updates.

Thank you. It's absolutely no problem. I know what it's like & I like to help students who are serious about nursing like myself.

Do you have all your classes done for Chaffey?

That's awesome! It's great that we can all help one another. After all, that's what nursing is all about.

I have everything completed already and even took the suggested courses (pharm, patho., & EKG). I've taken math 401 also. It sucks now having nothing to do but wait. I have been studying for both the TEAS & HESI exams. I've been told that on average people apply at least 3x before they get accepted. That's a year and a half waiting.

Wow! I was going to suggest taking Pharm. I'm in it now & that I know of a few of us from that class got in or are alternates. The application process sucks. It's the luck of the draw. Keep trying & just don't give up! Your time will come & you Will get in! I know someone in the program who applied 3 times before they got in. But going through a reputable, affordable community college Is worth the wait.

Hey guys.. I applied at both Chaffey and RCC. I got my acceptance letter for Chaffey on Saturday. I have completed all of my general education courses at Chaffey, but I am also a veteran so that is probably why I got in. I looked at a thread from last year and people still received acceptance letters after the 10th so don't give up hope !

Glad to hear there's still a chance. Thank you ladies. :)

Do they send rejection letters?

They do. I didn't get mine last application period until weeks after. :(
