Chabot College Fall 2020

Published

Hello, I didn't see a thread for Fall 2020 applicants so I figured that I would start one. Deadline has passed and the e-mail has been sent to our zonemail that the responses will be out on 4/30/2020. Anyone else applying?!? ?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to check in and see if anyone knew who to make the money order/check out for the polo and name tag?

Should it just be Chabot Nursing Department?

Thanks

Nevermind I found it Chabot College Nursing Program ?

@coffeerachey thank you for sharing. I plan on applying to Chabot, Ohlone, Evergreen, CCSF, CSM... from what I see, they haven't said they aren't taking in application more Chabot said they will be taking in applications.I know for sure CSUEB is not but community colleges are. So OK I'm somewhat hopeful, just after this class I'm going to be studying for my TEAS!

but again I read because some schools aren't accepting aps, then it make it more competitive

Hello everyone and I hope all are "relatively" well. I’ve been recently accepted to Chabot Fall 2020 and have done most of the logistics/requirements up to this point. I realize this is a late introduction but as I am registering for classes, I would like to have some sort of insights into current faculties/professors. Just so I can prepare myself a bit in advance (if that’s even possible). I read up on an early post that there was a FB group but unfortunately I don't have one so please message me privately (or on instagram etc.) so we can discuses the names and so on. Thank you so much.

Hello, may I know your alternate number? I’m still waiting to hear back from them #34

Hi Tatiana101,

I was on the same boat as you last year, I was so nervous and didn’t think I would get into nursing school the first try. After applying to a few schools, I got into 5 nursing programs (I was so surprised). I chose Chabot nursing program because of their NCLEX rating and I also spoke to a few students from the previous years.

My overall GPA was 3.61.

I had a A in anatomy, A in Microbiology, and a B in physiology.

TEAS: 89.3%

Bilingual

Statistics was a plus

And if I’m not mistaken “first generation” points. I did so many applications that I can’t recall.

Associates degree in Administration of justice, Natural Science/Mathematics.

Hope this helps! Good luck with everything.

Looks like we have a lot similar when it comes to what our applications look like. Were you on the waitlist? Or did u automatically get offered a position?

Specializes in Nursing.

@tatiana101

I was automatically offered a position.

Hello Everyone,

I am nursing student . I Got accepted in another program and I dropped after one month from the RN program. I have purchased all new books, so if anyone need them. Contact me [email protected]

I am selling it's very reasonable price.

Hello everyone,

First of all, CONGRATS to all that got accepted into the Chabot Nursing program for Fall 2020

I'm planning on applying for the Fall 2021, and had some questions regarding the criterion.

While I was calculating my score off criterion, I couldn't help but be curious with some of their wordings

1) Does Chabot not care about the whole GPA but only focus on the pre req science and Fixed courses?

2) Can someone check to see if their scores are close to mine and whether they got into the program?

GPA in science - 3.66 so hopefully 35

Micro - A

Anatomy - B

Physio - A

I did withdraw couple classes so (-5)

Overall GPA in fixed courses - A (7)

Stats - A (3)

First generation to attend college (2)

Bilingual (2)

TEAS score 89 (25)

My total estimated score comes out to 69.

Let me know what you guys think and thank you for reading this long comment

Have a good day and stay safe

I received this message -

"Although you have met the eligibility criteria, you were not selected from this year’s pool of applicants. There were 293 applications received this year. Of those who were qualified, 40 were selected and an additional 50 were selected as alternates. Unfortunately, your name was not selected for either. "

Guess it wasn't meant to be for me at Chabot this year ?.

Good luck everyone!

Hi, I am applying for fall 2021. Does anyone know the usual point cutoff (stats) of those that are entered into the random pool?
