CGFNS will now be offering on-line and off-line review materials in partnership with another company. RNs going to States that need the CGFNS exam may want to consider this. For more information, go to http://www.CGFNS.org

Well, the Trade NAFTA visa requires CGFNS.

Hi pink puffer may i know what are the requirements in taking cgfns? as what you've said prepare early the requirements. Thanx for the info.

hi i want prepare in my free time on cgfns questions kindly guide me as soon as possible:nurse:

Took my CGFNS last March. Reviewed for 3 months using Saunder's Compre Review and the Review book the CGFNS sent me. Got 100 points above the passing score without enrolling in a review center.

Wow! Congratulations! I hope I can do that too. I'll be taking the CGFNS this November. ;-)

I hope i can share my experience. I took my NCLEX first before i applied for CGNFS... The question is are you going here in the US as an immmigrant/Citizen? if not. CGFNS will still be needed for immigration purposes as to the need of "Visa Screen Certificate". If you pass the NCLEX, you don't need to take the CGFNS exam anymore, all you have to do is call the nursing board and have them send certification that you passed NCLEX already. But you still need to pay for the CGFNS "visa screen certification" and they come with a different set of requirements. I hope this will help...

Hi GSG9ers,

Thanks for sharing your experience about CGFNS & NCLEX, it enlightened me. I'm here in Indiana already but I graduated in the Philippines in 2008. The IBON requires CGFNS CP certification before I can apply for the NCLEX (they have a specific form to be filled-up and submitted before taking the NCLEX), so I really need to take the CP Exam.

By the way, it's good to have a network like this to address the concerns and ease the burden because of more ideas from nurses like you. Thanks again. God bless. :-)
