Just wanted to start a thread about those who applied for CGFNS CVS for New York this 2015, the current status, and maybe even questions to help one another out. =)
NYBON won't issue you a license until you pass the NCLEX. I'm assuming you meant the ATT (Authorization to Test). That should be about 6-10 weeks.
No, I meant nursing license.
I already took and passed my NCLEX, I currently hold a Minnesota nursing license. I am doing the CVS by endorsement from Minnesota to New York, all my paper work has been completed from CVS and now I am waiting on the review from New York board of nursing in order to get my nursing license.
Hi guys.
I need help and enlightenment here.
With the knowledge and assistance gained from numerous blogs online, I self-processed my CVS-NY without subscribing to costly agency such as NEAC due to budget limitation.
Last December2015, I applied for CVS-NY through online. As instructed in CGFNS connect, I printed, signed and couriered below three requirements:
1)School Authorization 2)PRC authorization 3)Payment Voucher together with PNB Certified Bank Check($390) as I don't have credit card to pay online.
Last January2016, I received an email from CGFNS auto-reply acknowledging that they received above-mentioned documents. This acknowledgement is also reflected in my online CGFNS account.
However, this is where the problem and confusuion arises; For the past month, my online account shows that I owe $75 and have to pay it first before my application can be push through.I didn't mind it because I am confident that the $390 Bank Check I couriered to them is enough to cover my online CVS-NY application.
Yesterday, I was surprised (since I thought that what is reflected in my online account is just a technical error from their end), to received an autoreply email from them reminding me of my unpaid balance. Confused, I sent an inquiry immediately to CGFNS connect and explained that since I am online-based applicant, I should be exempted from paying $75 (which is reserved for paper-based applicant).
Added to my dismayed, this morning, I received a generic feedback from them explaining the difference in pricing between Online and CVS Paper processing. I am not convinced that this is the right answer to my query.
Guys, can you please let me know whether I am on the right track and insisting not to pay the $75 or should I resigned and pay the amount imemdiately?
Hi i have a question. I processed mine last dec 2014. I submitted all the documents required the cgfns received all the documents including my tor and license they have already sent it to ny bon. Because i received an email about that. And the. As of now according to my cgfns account my status is report issued. I'm really confused what to do next. I haven't applied or sent my application yet to new york bon because i'm not sure if my new york cvs was approved. So i did not take the infection control and child abuse seminar yet. Since my application it's been more than a year. The last email i received from cgfns was from oct 2015 saying that they have already received updated ny application. Please can someone help me what to do next i'm really confused on what to do next.
