CGFNS CVS 2015

World Registration

Published

Just wanted to start a thread about those who applied for CGFNS CVS for New York this 2015, the current status, and maybe even questions to help one another out. =)

you should call the board of nursing, they would be able to answer your questions.

However I had sent all my documents to new york board of nursing (all the paper work for endorsement, infectious disease certification and child abuse certification) prior to my CGFNS new york evaluation was even sent to the new york board. It takes 3 months for new york to process your documents (I am Canadian)

best wishes

hi sir! i would like to ask regarding your payment through bank drafts. did you called cgfns first to get any information such as their bank account number and/or any name to whom you will pay for it? or u just go directly to bank and give the order number then pay? thank you

Hi! I am new here. I need your help and advice. I started to process my CGFNS CVS application. I applied and paid also online. I already printed the CVS application, CVS Authorization for Validation of License and CVS Authorization for Validation of Academic Records. At the end page of each form there is Attestation. I would like to inquire about the signature. Do I have to put my usual signature? Or my full name but as cursive? I noticed also a circle in the attestation. Is that for the seal/official stamp?

sorry for the late reply. Congratulations! hopefully you have found an RN job here in NY! ;)

Hi guys.

I need help and enlightenment here.

With the knowledge and assistance gained from numerous blogs online, I self-processed my CVS-NY without subscribing to costly agency such as NEAC due to budget limitation.

Last December2015, I applied for CVS-NY through online. As instructed in CGFNS connect, I printed, signed and couriered below three requirements:

1)School Authorization 2)PRC authorization 3)Payment Voucher together with PNB Certified Bank Check($390) as I don't have credit card to pay online.

Last January2016, I received an email from CGFNS auto-reply acknowledging that they received above-mentioned documents. This acknowledgement is also reflected in my online CGFNS account.

However, this is where the problem and confusuion arises; For the past month, my online account shows that I owe $75 and have to pay it first before my application can be push through.I didn't mind it because I am confident that the $390 Bank Check I couriered to them is enough to cover my online CVS-NY application.

Yesterday, I was surprised (since I thought that what is reflected in my online account is just a technical error from their end), to received an autoreply email from them reminding me of my unpaid balance. Confused, I sent an inquiry immediately to CGFNS connect and explained that since I am online-based applicant, I should be exempted from paying $75 (which is reserved for paper-based applicant).

Added to my dismayed, this morning, I received a generic feedback from them explaining the difference in pricing between Online and CVS Paper processing. I am not convinced that this is the right answer to my query.

Guys, can you please let me know whether I am on the right track and insisting not to pay the $75 or should I resigned and pay the amount imemdiately?

Hi..so sorry for the late reply. It's July 2016, how is your CVS processing? Hopefully it is finished.

I have finally received my new york nursing license by endorsement (Canadian nurse)

The waiting is finally over and the more difficult part begins...looking for a job in new york.

Wish me luck

sorry for the late reply. Congratulations! hopefully you have found an RN job here in NY! Please do reply if you have! it's always great to hear when nurses find an RN job in the state that they chose. ;)

Yes you do have to sign your FULL NAME as you have written/applied to in the CGFNS CVS application in cursive. All you signatures need to match the documents. The Circle for attestation is for you college because this CVS form is addressed to the school.

HI everyone!!

I am in a trouble.I started my CVS process this July.I sent notarized application and those 2 validation forms 1 for transcript and the other for license. They received it as well.but now they are asking for license authorization form and transcriot authorization forms.I am really so confused because i get only 3 forms to send to them in CGFNS website and CVS handbook.what are these forms?are they different from those validation forms?Have anyone of you him through the same case?please help me out.I am stuck!!

Finally after 8months my cgfns cvs report was submitted to ny board of nursing. And just last week I tried to email NY BON if they received my application and they replied with a big yes and they are just waiting for my cvs report..

Hey hi buknit, hope all's well. CGFNS submitted your documents to NYBON w/o your CVS? I just want to clarify. Thank you!

The "validation" forms should be sent by PRC and your school to CGFNS directly. You just need to submit the "authorization" forms to CGFNS in order for them to start the process.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but, which option has the faster proceedings, the paper application or the online ones? Right now CVS has a NotaryCam registration for witnessing a Notary club put eNotary signs on your documents or the paper ones are okay? I've been an RN in the Phils but it's hard because I'm working in NZ.
