CGFNS-CVS New York process ?

Hi,

I am very confused about the process of Credential Verification Service (CVS) for New York State.

I graduated from a nursing school in Philippines . But I have neither written the nursing board exam nor registered as a nurse anywhere in the world.

Currently, I am in New York and I need to go through the Credential verification process using the CGFNS CVS service.

However, as a part of credential verification process, CGFNS apparently requires information about my initial nursing license (which I don't have).. I am very confused at this point..

How can I get through the CVS process without having initial nursing license ?

Please kindly suggest me !!!

I havent take it either. Maybe Later if i see any update from from my cgfns. Cvs is stressing me out a bit. You are blessed to have it early..

Same with me. I just don't try to think about it. The process is so lengthy. It's going to be 5 months of waiting for me since I applied last October 2014. Have you valled the PRC if they have received any letters?

I started my application last december for cgfns. I havent called yet to both.. I will call today.

If they sent the letters last January to both your school and prc, they might have received it now. Hopefully. Are you here in New York? :)

Yes it was last january.. Ill call to confirm and if they have responded to it already.. Yup im here in new york. Im still waiting for my test result from california to be forwarded to new yprk Yorkwhich they said would took 6-8 weeks.

Thats good! :) haha.. Thats why you were able to answer me at this times. i just submitted a request form first week of march for california. And thats their time frame. Im gonna follow it up next week for updates.

When i read instructions in california about sending nclex results thats what they have in site that it took 6-8 weeks to forward to new york. I tried calling my school. The registrar is busy. Ill try it tomorrow.

Another thing, did cgfns notified you the date in your account that they received the one from your school?

Yes they did. Just last week. They have actually received it last February, I tracked the documents sent by my school to them. But it wasn't until last week that they notified me they have received it and it showed up in my account. :)

Hi kababayan. CGFNS-CVS doesn't require you to have a license, they are just asking if you have one. I applied to them 6 months ago without taking the NLE back home. They waived the license requirement on my CGFNS account. I got my eligibility from NY bon about a week ago. Good luck. :)

Hi sis, im also a filipino nurse waiting for my cvs, still waiting but its been alreafy 8 months since I applied. And yet my school havent received any letter from them? Could it be my papers are lost? Im so concern, and thinking of applying to other states. What can you advice?
