CGFNS CES Report Missing Clinical Hours

Published

Hello!

I'm a Canadian educated nurse who is trying to work in the States. CGFNS sent a CES Report to Washington for me but in the report they stated I am missing clinical hours in psychiatric nursing and my education is "comparable" because of these deficiencies.

Anyone with similar issues with 'missing clinical hours' still able to get a state license?

Hi all

I have a problem for license application RN in New Mexico. My school did not write individually medical and surgical hours break down as integrated as adult health nursing subject. So CGFNS CES report showed all hrs go to medical theory and practical hrs but in surgical hrs showed integrated in medical nursing. But NMBN wants individual hrs for medical and surgical.
If I apply in New York NB , that report will be OK or still they will ask individually hrs . Anyone can help me as I am so stressed for a long journey to apply.

Hi @hypnotizer90 do u know anyone who has gone through the process of completing these deficiencies of paeds/obgyn?

Do u think going via NYBON would be flexible on these hours in compare to CGFNS?

Hi Sam, did you get this sorted?

Hy guys, I have a couple of updates. Before starting, I want to precise that my board is the Arizona one, so what I did can be applied only to the AZBN. When I received my CES report for Illinois, it was written that I was missing clinical hours in "maternal nursing" and "psychiatry". In AZ, if you don't already hold a license you cannot access to the some "salvage course" that some nurse can use to fill their gaps; CGFNS wasn't able to give a solution. So I contacted my nursing school in my country and I applied for their voluntary hands-on clerkship (in my country I am holding a unlimited license). I did some hours (AZBN is happy as long as the clinical hours in any of the CES report box are not 0) and made the nursing school send them to CGFNS. CGFNS released the new CES report without missing hours and AZBN approved. Now I have a license in AZ and IL as well as my VisaScreen done. I hope this can help.
