Hey guys!
anyone on here applying this semester for the 2015 nursing program at cape fear community college? I'm curious as to what the general number of points everyone will end up with for courses. Good luck and I hope to hear from someone !
I received the letter for point count today, how important is it that you attend a point count?
It is very important. You want to make sure that they tally your points correctly. If there is a mistake and you didn't go to your point count then you wave your right to appeal. When are the dates for the point count?
Went to point count today. Expect to wait a while for your turn. I waited about 30 minutes. The counselor told me there are 188 applicants left in the pool after the PSB exams were taken. They say to expect letters in the mail the second week of March.
What do they mean by 188 students left in the pool? Just curious was different after moving here moved here three week before deadline so I had to rush and do everything with moving placement test and going to Ohio for two weeks(my grandpa passed away) and doing PSB and intent to apply etc. I didn't do well on two sections of test which I guess is ddxent considering I didn't study one bit. Just wanting to know for next year. About how many applied did they say?
Hey yall! I just went to my point count today, around 1600, and it was just starting to get crowded... My points ended up being 350 as well... I've been looking around here on older posts and the point count acceptance is really all over the place. My instructor told me today the range for last year's accepted was about 335-370... But this year's pool of 188 is a lot smaller than previous years so I'm not sure if that's going to help/hurt!
And for anyone whose as anxious as I was going in for the count, no, they do not give you any glimmer as to what your chances are, just because it changes so much from year to year. But this waiting is torture!!
Anyone know when we should expect our letters? I know the past few years the point counts weren't till mid March but the acceptance letters went out that next week... So should we expect them that early? Anyone know?
Someone in one of the above comments said that they said the letters will be sent out the second week of March but I have a feeling they will be here by the end of February. You're right, they generally send them out the next week. I think they are trying to get it done early this year to make sure all that are accepted have enough time to get the background checks and other requirements met before orientation in June.
They told me to expect them by Monday, March 2nd at the latest. So hopefully we will know by the end of next week! And what I meant by 188 people is that the woman told me after people took the PSB exam, the number of applicants still "in the running" dropped from around 400 to 188. I also can't decide if having less applicants is a good or bad thing! My count is 353, so hopefully that is enough! Good luck everyone.
