Hi, is anyone applying to the RN program at Cerritos College in California for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. If so how many points do you have?

Someone on Reddit said that for those were ADMITTED the third page would say:

"I am taking the ADMISSION for the Spring 2026 term.”

ALTERNATES would say "I am taking the ALTERNATE position".

That's so exciting! My third page says:

"I have been offered an admission position in the Cerritos College Nursing Program for Spring 2026. I have read this letter and will be attending mandatory orientation, fulfilling all requirements, and beginning nursing school this August. I am in full agreement to work with the nursing department to fulfill my academic program with flexibility and changes as needed, as I progress.

I am taking the admission for the Spring 2026 term.”

I wonder if it was a mistake on their end because only one line in the letter said I have to accept as an alternate, but everything else sounds like I was admitted as an accepted student.

Probably a mistake, over 50 emails didn't get sent out earlier with even a notice of acceptance or deny. I would accept or decline by May 2nd! Those who are alternates hold out hope! Still a couple more nursing schools people are waiting on that might have gotten accepted to Cerritos but pick another. Good luck!

Sounds like you got in for Spring 2026! I believe the letter is to either accept or deny? What does the letter have you do?

Hehe I hope so! I responded to Yalapala's post that states what the third page includes if that's what you're asking 🙂

Mine says the same thing and I'm also confused if I am accepted or if I'm waiting for a spot as an alternate.

I believe we're in 😄

Did anyone get a corrected letter?

Accepted as an Alternate!

 Overall GPA 3.02

TEAS 86

previous Bachelor's

0 Official healthcare experience, but just completed my CNA and I took care of my mother in law full time for 3 years.

I applied to 7 programs (I don't remember my points for this one) and this is the closest I've gotten to acceptance.

Specializes in Nursing.

My stats were:

3.8 overall GPA

4.0 science GPA

75% on TEAS

4 years caretaker experience

- Alternate consideration

Does anyone know how many alternates were accepted from the previous cohorts?

I was accepted for Fall 2025 with around 77 points, but I will be declining since I got accepted into Saddleback and already started all of my health and registration requirements. I am surprised I was accepted, but I hope my spot goes to someone here!
