Cypress College ADN program - Fall 2025
I would base it on clinical sites, I couldn't find a list of clinical sites for Cypress (didn't look for Rio Hondo) which annoyed me. I'm sure I could have emailed and asked, but other schools I applied to had that info readily available. Clinical sites make a big difference in travel time and experience. Also the application process for Cypress was cumbersome which raised some red flags for me personally. + if the program has a capstone/preceptorship opportunity during the final semester. I believe Cypress does, again not sure about Rio Hondo, but if you're aiming for a job on a competitive unit, the opportunity to do a preceptorship on that unit makes a difference on your resume once we graduate. Anything to make yourself more competitive when applying to jobs post-grad, CA is very competitive for new grads!

Riverside City College Fall 2025 CEP/Traditional
hello! just commenting to let people know that I got a rejection email for the general ADN track this past Friday. I believe I only had about 67 pts (applied before I got my CNA) and I was accepted elsewhere so it's OK! but just wanted to let everyone know I received a decision email, they said all conditional and alternate spots were filled so expect emails soon!

Congratulations! I personally would accept the offer and then just reject it later on if SAC doesn't also accept you. I'm not sure how your points were added but even though I had 90pts at Saddleback, I only had 73pts max at SAC...?. It is crazy how differently all of the schools delegate their points. I applied to about 10 schools in total and Saddleback is by far the furthest from me (about an hour away) but I am still accepting anyway since I won't hear back from other schools until April. Good luck, I hope SAC accepts you so you can save money on gas!!

hello! I believe I am applying with 77 points. I was a little confused about the life experiences section, I'm not sure if we get 2 points for a single life experience or if we can get 2 points for up to 2 life experiences. either way, I gave myself 1 point there so they don't think im trying to lie. good luck!

do you guys know if there are still admissions based on lottery after we take the TEAS? or is it just lottery to be able to take the TEAS? my points are definitely on the lower side, about 66 pre-TEAS and 75 assuming I get a 90+, but I got invited to take the TEAS. im assuming if it's based on points alone from this point on I probably won't get in unless theres lottery ?. the website is a little vague about post-TEAS admissions

I took the TEAS jan 2025 and got a 92% (was able to use a calculator though) and all I used to study was NurseHub. you probably don't need to pay for study resources but I personally needed the structure of one to actually force myself to study. there are a bunch of lessons included in the course but I skipped those and just took every quiz available (which is a lot). once I took all of the quizzes on NurseHub, I took other free quizzes I could find online. overall I would say the actual test is easier than the practice ATI and mometrix ones, but slightly harder than the NurseHub ones. I bought NurseHub because it was significantly cheaper than other courses I saw. I studied for about 3 weeks in total
