Members are discussing issues with accessing Canvas for orientation modules, with some experiencing SSO Request Errors and delays in receiving emails. There is confusion about the required tasks before orientation, such as sending official transcripts, and questions about the locations of clinicals. Despite some technical difficulties, members are eagerly preparing for the upcoming orientation.
Hi, is anyone applying to the RN program at Cerritos College in California for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. If so how many points do you have?
Nursing1112 said:Yayyy! I also called their nursing department, they will let us know at the end of the orientation. I'm sure we will all get in 😆
Yes! I also spoke with someone and she was very confident about all the alternates. Couldn't give me "official" word but she sounded promising 🙂
LIZZ1991 said:hi can I ask what are your stats? I was denied and I want to reapply next year. congratulations!
Sure!
3.8 science GPA
3.6 overall GPA
76.7% TEAS
I speak 3 languages, have one associate's degree in pre-nursing sciences, and one certificate in transfer studies. I have no healthcare work experience, but I worked more than part-time while doing all my prerequisites. I also completed dosage calculation, nursing fundamentals, and medical terminology. I'm saying all these because I think we get points for these extras, right?
Also, I got denied twice. You got this, I'm sure you will be a very good nurse. This is my first acceptance letter, yet as an alternate. The last two times I applied, I only applied to El Camino College, and both denied. Now I have applied to five programs, this is the first to send their decisions. I'm sure you will get it. I don't know you, but I know that persistence pays off. I will be sending you a virtual hug and lots os positive motivation energy. 🙂

I also spoke to the nursing department and the woman on the phone told me they would still be accepting alternates at orientation and all the way until the first day of class for both Fall and Spring. She said they are continuing to receive letters from the students declining their admission and that some students drop out the week prior to the program starting so she said to hang in there 🥹
