Cerritos college nursing fall 2018

Published

Hello,

I was just wondering did anybody else apply to Cerritos College Nursing for Fall 2018? Do you guys have anything to share about the application, or application process, teas, or anything ?

It was a random selection. Since I didn't get in to Fall I had to wait a few months. I didn't find out I was accepted into the spring program till around the end of october.

So they read off a computer that randomly selected alternates in the room that day?

It was a randomized list of names. If you dont get selected for fall, dont give up. A lot more alternates got into the spring start.

Oh I see. Thank you so much for responding and answering my questions. I pray that I will get in one of the two.

Received a denial letter yesterday, it was post marked for May 17th, but dated May 14th. I live up in NorCal.

Did anyone apply to LVN-RN bridge here ??

Letter was dated may 14th but received it on the 18th of May, worrying about the teas test, since they gave us only 2 weeks before taking it.

Am I the only one that has not recieved a letter yet

Sadly, no, I wasn't selected in the lottery this time around for Harbor. I'm still on the wait list for Trade Tech too.

How long have you been in the waitlist in trade tech?

So weird that I had absolutely no clue that there was a fall 2018 and spring 2019 start date lol

I thought I was only applying for fall 2018, and I thought the spring start was probably for the bridge programs or something.

Wow lol

Got my letter today, I didn't get get accepted :( I did though get into El Camino College, so I'll be going there.

Best of luck to you all!! Congrats to those who made it in and the alternates, I hope you make it!

what was your total score if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking of applying to there.

I got added June of last year. It's a two to three semester wait. She said I would of got a call in August for spring of next year.

ECC was actually my first choice, but I live in Anaheim so I tried my luck with Cerritos, it's so much closer.

I started off with 47 pts and got invited to sit for the TEAS. I got an 86% on the TEAS so I ended up with 67 points total and got in. I applied to the Compton campus, I really like it there and it's closer to me than the Torrance campus. I've seen 65pts get accepted to both campus' too. I don't know what the lowest score accepted is though. You should try! It seems like a good program, I've talked to a lot of people in the Compton campus and they really like it, they do say it's pretty difficult and time consuming, but what RN program isn't?:D

I really didn't think I would get a call back to take the TEAS, I felt my grades were not competitive enough, but I have a lot of extra pts, like AA, patient volunteer hours, work while attending college, bilingual...you get points for all those things, which really help you. So definitely give it a go!
