Not sure either. I know with cypress there were over 30 alternates. But they only chose 40 accepted students per semester . A few candidates rejected the offer because they got accepted at another school they preferred and an alternate took her/his place. I was an alternate and didn't make it through. 😭 now waiting to hear from Cypress for fall as well as Cerritos and Rio Hondo. Cypress also informed the students who didn't make it in at the same time as all of us with accepted and alternate positions. Thats why I'm a little annoyed that Cerritos hasn't informed us lone Rangers 😆 . I know every school is different it it's just so frustrating to wait while others already got letters.

Clinicals can be really tough at times, but they push you to improve your way of thinking and making connections between what you learned during lecture and what you will see on the floor. You'll have at least 1 clinical a week and, if you need to miss one, you can work with the staff to arrange a make-up clinical.
As for lecture, I heard that they're changing the curriculum starting your guys' term, so what I say may not apply. Speaking from my experience, I had the busiest schedule during Fundamentals since I was at school 5 days of the week. There was ALOT of information to cover since you would be learning a whole lot of new skills, which was a little overwhelming at first, but become manageable over time. After Fundamentals, the program starts transitioning from an in-person based lecture to hybrid and eventually online based lecture, so you'll have a lot more time to yourself in the later classes. However, the lecture content starts ramping up in terms of difficulty and amount of content especially during second semester, so be wary of that.
The professors are very good at helping you clarifying information especially when the content starts getting convoluted. There are also tutors who also help you find the best way to study for each class. They were a tremendous help for me when I was struggling.
I was wondering if there was any I could ask your more about the program. The website does not let me directly message you just yet.
Hi everyone, I'm currently in the program right now. I got placed on alternate with 69 points. I would just like to say that I have no idea how many people my year got acceptance letters/how many got alternate letters and how many of those people showed up to the orientation day. So I have no idea if chances are any better or any worse this year. But for my year, everyone on the alternate list, who showed up to orientation got accepted. At the end of the orientation they told us who will begin in Fall and who will begin in Spring, I believe it is random-there were no descriptions as to how they chose that. Two people even asked if they could trade, and the directors said no. I remember reading a question if you can start next year instead, unfortunately, you would have to reapply if you cannot start the semester that is given to you. This is how it was for my year at least.
