We are starting with a new ciriculum so everything is pretty new for us as well. You have to commit to the program. It will get a bit more intense as the weeks goes by. Final exams are ALL cummulative, so don't forget to review. ADN 210 consists of lecture, 2 days in labs, and after your 8th week or so, you will be in clinical.

Time management is key when it comes to completing your assignments so you can have time to study.

In addition, ask questions, make study groups (w/ your labgroup or w/ other people). Ask lots of questions and be in Skill Labs to practice your skills (ex. Foley cath, NG tube, Vital Signs, enema, Bolus feeding, etc.). Use the skills labs wisely because you will be asked to perform these skills during CPE exam.

I don't think you need to buy any additional supplies other than what was required during orientation (ex. stethoscope, penlight, a watch w/ second hand, bandage scissors, etc.). I bought my own manual blood pressure cuff at the beginning of the program to practice taking BP at home (this is optional)

The program provided us w/ supplies (ex. foley kit, sterile gloves, injection kit, and wound kit) for us to take home and to use during skills labs to practice.

Your clinical/lab instructor should provide more info to you during the first couple of weeks. 🙂

Hey, they still haven't given us our completed registration form for classes yet. I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME- PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS) on Friday so I'm just waiting until she replies but I think they're going to send it to us tomorrow (hopefully) and I'm still waiting for any news for the orientation date for this week.

I emailed her on Friday and she said they r working with admissions. And once admissions finished their part they will tell us which date for orentation/schedules. I'm really hoping it's tomororw.
