CEP Feb. Applicants

U.S.A. Arizona

Hi all! Anyone else applying for the CEP program through Maricopa Community College during this upcoming application cycle? I'm applying for the GCC/NAU program and was curious if anyone else is applying this semester as well. I'm hoping I make the cutoff - the program is becoming really popular really fast!

Yes, they don't seem too helpful.

Has anyone put in their application with NAU yet?

I did this morning and sent my official transcripts. I didnt want to wait because I just know if I did I would stress about getting it done on time. Lol

Do we have to have our background check and immunizations done by June classes, or by the fall block? I know they will probably tell us in the information packet they send us...but I'm just not feeling very patient!

I know right? I just want to get everything done and start already!

What campus did you select? When I would pick north valley there was no CEP or Nursing Major option

The blue piece of paper they gave us at the application session tells you what selections to make. For that one, you select the "online campus".

We don't do the background test or the drug test until they tell us to. It is my understanding that when they run the normal placement for maricopa and we are officially "placed" we will get an email with instructions and timelines. I don't believe they need to be done before the summer nau classes but am not completely sure. As for the immunizations I started working on those about a year ago, but it was because I had no records and didn't know what ones I had so I had to get titers done. Most of the shots are a series so it can be time consuming to get them completed. So if you think you need any I would probably get started so you don't have to worry about finishing those up while you are in school, as we will have enough things to worry about:)

I just applied to NAU and sent over my transcripts. I'm with everyone else it was a long wait and now I just want to get things rolling. I'm going to start my immunizations and wait on everything else till I find out more. Has anyone on here decided on which day they are going for orientation Fri or Sat?

I'm planning on going to the Saturday one. That way I won't have to get a sitter or deal with too much traffic:). I'm so excited that everything is rolling along. Feels like I've been waiting forever for this, now I wonder if the next couple months are going to drag or fly by as we try to get our lives and everything in order for nursing school!

I haven't decided on which day to go to for orientation I wish it was sooner. I feel the same way it feels like it has been a long wait. Hopefully with the things we have to do we can keep busy so the time goes by for the next few months. I keep telling myself to enjoy my time because when school starts it will be busy. Maybe some of us on here will run into each other at orientation.

I finished my application for NAU and had my transcripts sent yesterday also. I definitely need to start on my immunizations, my records are confusing and I think I may need a lot!! I got a price sheet from John C. Lincoln's employee services and although it's and lot cheaper to get my shots through them then paying out-of-pocket, it's still going to cost a fortune! Anyone have suggestions on how to lessen the cost or am I just gonna have to suck it up?
