Hey everyone! I am just curious if there is anyone else that has applied to the ADN program at Central Carolina Tech this time around? I believe the deadline was March 16. I was wondering if anyone knew when we are supposed to get our letters as to whether we got in sent out? Best of luck to everyone who has submitted their package!

Ok I just answered my own question. Lol all heart has really nice colors. 😌

Hey just curious ladies, did any of you get your immunization records from the health department?

Wow I need to check this site more because I'm obviously not getting the email alerts on time. Anyway, no I had to go to my doc and get reshots and/or titers on everything since the military kindly misplaced my stuff from my husband's last base. I got one more PPD test then done. Still got to do toxicology/background amongst still buying some stuff. As for blood pressure and stethoscope. I bought a really nice littmann but it's black so I'm going to put fabric tape on it to help identify it since I keep reading people like to steal them.

I know, I got a purple one, but I need a name tag.

Specializes in EMS, ED, Trauma, CEN, CPEN, TCRN.

Just a suggestion: don't put tape on your stethoscope, it'll end up all sticky and gross. An alternative is a metal stethoscope ID ring like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/201657574/handmade-stethoscope-id-ring-made-from. Just search on Etsy or eBay for "stethoscope ID ring," there are a ton of customizable options. I bought one on eBay.

BrandyV, which branch of the military? I know the Army keeps all that info electronically, I am able to have my primary care provider print out my immunizations and titers. What a pain! :(

Good idea! Thanks. I think I will try to get my bell engraved too. I'm just worried someone will try to steal it with all the horror stories I've heard and read and I paid a good penny for it... My husband is air force and my dad was too so I tried to see what the Air force had and all my files were gone from when my dad was in. I got titers so everything is ok now but it was frustrating at the time.

I left my beloved Littman Cardiology III at the Level 1 ED where I work casually, and I was sure someone would take it - but nope! Someone was kind enough to put it aside in a drawer for me to get when I came back after 2 weeks. Renewed my faith in humanity, haha! :)

That's awesome and its also the stethoscope I have as well. But I will get on it those I.D. charms like you suggested for it. I also read that putting one of those pet name tags on it isn't a bad idea. I'm sure I'm mountains out of mole hills haha.

Hey which one of you ladies said they got a book scholarship form from financial aid? Did you get it?

@brandyv do we need blood work done for our physical or just take the form in with the proof of immunizations?

No blood work unless your provider wants it for the physical but doubtful. Just the immunizations or proof of titers.

That was me with the scholarship form. I did receive the form. The Finiancial Aid counselor was nice enough to mail it to me since I live so far away. I already paid for my background check and did my urine screen today. I still need my physical and titers and ppd. Also I need to set aside a day to drive up to Sumter to order my uniforms and nametags. I am planning on attending the success in nursing school seminar too. I haven't bought my stethescope yet because she said they were giving one away as a prize. Just in case I'm lucky that day. lol.
